Magnificent work from our tour guide Adam Explaining everything with precision to historic accuracy The best
This was the most meaningful tour we have ever taken. Markus didn't just walk us through the site, he started from the moment we met at our airbnb setting the scene for how the Nazi's rose to power and how the Dachau camp evolved....starting in 1933. The day was filled with thoughtful discussion, rather than a lecture. Markus challenged us with questions which led to us having a broader understanding of the overall political situation that developed well before the beging of WWII. It was like being in your favorite college course.wuth your favorite professor If you are looking for a comprehensive learning experience, we recommend.this private tour 100%. Ask for Markus!
I would highly recommend the private tour of Dachau. Our guide Markus was very knowledgeable uses an interactive style with his clients to not only tell the story of Dachau but ensure the clients consider the broader implications of the story not only for Germany but even for today’s world.
Touring Dachau Concentration Camp with guide Marcin was a powerful and deeply moving experience. Marcin was incredibly knowledgeable, respectful, and engaging, offering historical context with compassion and clarity. His ability to convey the gravity of the site while highlighting individual stories made the visit both educational and emotionally resonant. Marcin handled difficult topics with sensitivity and gave space for reflection throughout the tour. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a meaningful and well-guided experience at this important historical site.
Markus was a spectacular guide. He was fully educated on Dachau and the history behind the camp. It was a very interactive experience.
Markus was an awesome tour guide in this difficult context. He posed thoughtful questions, answered the questions we had, and provided us with a list of resources we could read for more background. He made visiting this site more meaningful. Highly recommend!! MK
The visit to Dachau was meaningful. Not fun, but emotional. Guide was super because he was able to balance the emotional with the historical. We were greatful for his empathy and knowledge.
Nick was our guide and so much fun! He gives a great explanation of each stop on the tour and all the beers we tasted. Dinner was hearty and delicious!
We had Scott (a fellow Australian) take our private tour to Dachau. Scott was so knowledgeable and handled the serious nature of the tour with sensitivity and respect. Our two children (15, 13) learned a lot without finding the information too distressing and we all came away with the a new understanding of the camp and its history. Scott also gave an interesting insight into the views of the current generation of German’s and the way in which the atrocities of Nazism are being acknowledged and addressed. I would highly recommend this tour, particularly the private tour aspect as it allows you to hear the history being told rather than only having the opportunity to read about a small part of it during a rushed tour. We felt the cost was well worth the investment to learn about the camp and honour those who lived and died there.
Mat was a wonderful guide. Extremely knowledgeable, easy to have conversations with him. He gave a lot of information in an easy to understand manner with respect to the timeline.
