While visiting Munich in May 2026, we took the Radius Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site tour. We specified that we wanted the English language tour. Mark Pearson was our tour guide. Mark was an amazing guide! His passion for military history was evident throughout the tour. He provided lots of factual information related to the events that lead up to WWII and how Hitler was able to gain power. While this tour’s subject matter was extremely sobering, Mark readily shared his wealth of knowledge of Dachau in a very professional and personable manner. We had several occasions during the tour to spend more time viewing exhibits on our own. We knew that we could certainly have visited the Memorial Site on our own. But we felt we could get much more from the visit by taking a guided tour. Mark exceeded our expectations.
Jake was an outstanding, energetic, and knowledgeable guide--and he not only had a big, loud, gregarious voice and personality, but he was very good at interacting with some of the younger middle-school/high school aged boys on the tour. I strongly recommend this tour. While I had already been to three other concentration campus, and even if Dachau does not quite pack the punch of a long day at Auschwitz, it still is deeply moving and a powerful experience. While I knew Dachau was the first concentration camp, I knew nothing more about it. Jake's background and knowledge was terrific and I learned a lot. I think it is very important to see these camps, especially with the rise of misinformation, and people insisting this "did not happen," or was "not as bad as people say," people need to see and hear the truth. This tour certainly does that. Once again, an excellent tour and highly recommended. Super well organized, terrific guide, and powerful learning experience.
Thanks a lot for sharing your excellent feedback on the tour you joined with our guide Jake. What more could we ask for. We wish you all the best for your upcoming travels!
Alex was an awesome guide. He got us there even with the tons of students. He was very knowledgeable and a very nice person. We are so glad to have met him.

Joanne, thanks for taking the time to review your tour with Jake, safe travels.
We met with Jake who guided us to and through Dachau and provided great insight into its history. For a very difficult topic, he did an excellent job of showing us the camp and helping us truly understand the atrocities that took place there and throughout the region during the World War.
Thanks for taking the time to give this great review of the tour you took with Jake to the Memorial. Much appreciated.
Jake was the best guide! He was knowledgeable, engaging, and accommodating. I highly recommend this tour and this tour guide. The experience was one of a kind. There is a lot of walking in this tour so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing. There is so much information and Jake made sure to discuss each area thoroughly. I am very glad that we chose this tour!
Laura, great that you had a great tour with Jake and Radius Tours. We are also glad you chose the tour!
We toured Dachau with Jake of Radius Tours and felt we got a very good idea of the history and background of this camp. It’s not an easy subject matter, and Jake handled it with respect and sensitivity. We would definitely recommend it.
Diana, thanks for the 5 star recommendation of your tour to the Memorial with Jake and Radius Tours.
This was a well organised tour by Radius. At Dachau guide Tom verbalised alot of the story boards and this was necessary as we were kept moving to get through the museum and grounds in the timeframe we had. The bus was very crowded to get the whole tour party back as one at the end and this could have complicated things a bit if one missed it. Overall a very sobering experience outlining the brutality of the Nazi SS regime - a lesson in history we should never forget thank you Tom and Radius
Thank you very much for sharing your feedback, it is very much appreciated.
Excellent guide who managed to be informative whilst also respectful
