Simon is an exceptional tour guide! He went above and beyond to make us comfortable and ensure we had a great experience. He is knowledgeable and friendly, and very accommodating. Simon was fantastic at communicating details before our trip, which was so valuable. He made a great tour experience- would highly recommend!

My family and I had a wonderful time touring with our guide, Bineesh. I was a little apprehensive about spending the money for a private tour, but since we were traveling with my young daughter, I figured it was worth it to ensure we had full flexibility in our schedule. The communication from the company was top notch. A few days before our scheduled tour, our guide messaged us with a suggested itinerary, which looked stellar. However, the day before our scheduled tour, we were notified that our guide was no longer available due to car trouble and we were assigned another guide, Bineesh, who reached out to us immediately. Bineesh understood that we had a young daughter and came prepared with a car seat the following morning (one that he had at home, not the company's!) and also tailored the tour at my request to see the Kelpies and the Highland Coos early in the trip to appease my daughter. Bineesh was so attentive throughout the day, incredibly patient with us as we did have to make a couple unscheduled stops for my daughter to use the bathroom, and he was very knowledgable about the area. He even took us to a few places along the route that were not part of our itinerary just so we could get a great view of a castle or pictures with beautiful landscapes. He also won over my daughter with his calm and kind demeanor, though the little doll he gave her as a gift certainly did help! Bineesh was also accommodating to our diet and took us to a local restaurant that met our needs. Overall, this was a very well paced tour, even for a very jet lagged family traveling with a 2 year old. There was no rushing from Bineesh and our tour went around 10-11 hours. To top it off, I had ordered dinner at a restaurant near our hotel and Bineesh stopped by the restaurant on our way back to the hotel so we could pick up our food, which saved me a 10 minute walk each way after a long day!

Had an amazing day!! From the very first contact about a week before our tour our guide Ryan Riley was absolutely wonderful!! His commentary throughout the day was full of interesting facts, stories and tidbits that added to our experience…along with his basket of snacks!!🥰 We highly recommend this tour and definitely ask for Ryan you won’t be disappointed!!

Long but eventful day . We covered over 300 miles and hit eight different sites . Jimmy 1 was efficient and entertaining.

Darryl was an amazing guide. Having a private tour guide was so great because we were able to explore and see everything at our own pace. Three sisters was one of the most memorable and beautiful. Darryl took a nice picture for us there on our camera. He was so accommodating and made sure we stopped for lunch and dinner which was also much appreciated.

If you’re planning a visit to Edinburgh or Glasgow and are looking for an exceptional guide to show you the Scottish Highlands, I cannot recommend Simon highly enough. From the very beginning, Simon was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and insightful. He was an absolute pleasure to spend time with—friendly, funny, accommodating, and genuinely interested in making sure we had a wonderful experience. What made our time with Simon so special was that he didn’t simply follow an itinerary or take us to the typical tourist attractions. Along the way, he introduced us to hidden gems, beautiful small towns, local places, and unexpected stops that he thought we would enjoy. Those spontaneous additions ended up being some of the most memorable parts of our day and gave us a much more authentic feeling for Scotland and the Highlands. Simon is from Glasgow, and he also took us through his hometown, where he showed us some of the incredible murals throughout the city and shared stories and insights we never would have discovered on our own. It was wonderful seeing Glasgow through the eyes of someone who actually knows and loves the city. Simon made the entire experience easy, relaxed, personal, and fun. We never felt rushed or as though we were on a typical organized tour. It felt more like spending the day exploring Scotland with a knowledgeable local friend. You simply can’t go wrong with Simon. If you have the opportunity to book him, do it. He will give you a truly unforgettable experience and show you a side of Scotland you might otherwise never get to see. We would absolutely use him again!

Simon from EtoG tours was our guide and significantly contributed to a fabulous day . He was flexible and knowledgeable and it was liking driving with a friend. We booked through Viator as we wanted a 24hr cancellation policy but next time will look into booking direct . We felt the additional cost for a private your was worth it as we could travel at our own pace

Jimmy was amazing! He completely customized our tour to fit our needs/interests. We asked on the day of the tour to change the itinerary and he flexed with us, making sure we got to see everything we wanted! He even used some local connections to get us some up-close experiences/priority parking, which was a game changer for my family with some mobility challenges. Jimmy knew so much about the history of each location we visited and we learned so much!

Simon got in touch immediately after I booked to confirm the trip and was a superb tour guide. He was personable helpful and flexible. The trip provided a good overview of the Highlands including Loch Lomond and the Kelpies . We had plenty of comfort breaks - a great day put and we would recommend.
