Tour was great. Nice we could customize (though we were mostly good with the outlined route). And nice that it was private so we could speed up and slow down at stops as we chose. Our tour guide knew tons of info about the island, people, culture, etc. That was great. However he did share many times how people were coming in taking over and not caring about the people who lived there. Very much we Hawaiians/you visitors. That made us feel unwelcomed as visitors. All of us said we would not come back as a result. All that said I'd still recommend the private custom tour. Very good value for the price point too.

Our Driver was Ryan. He was very friendly and willing to adjust the schedule to accommodate whatever we wanted to see. Overall it was a great day.

Chris was awesome with our group of 8 retired ladies! He tailored the tour to our interests. He was the perfect chauffeur, photographer, and source of personable information. He made sure we were safe and comfortable. For an awesome tour, go with Chris!!

Our Oahu island tour was the best part of our Hawaii trip! This os our second tour in two years andceach time iur guide, Jody, has provided us with a great experience. He is kind, experienced, and very knowledgeable regarding the history Hawaii. He also took us to places we didn't know existed and took the best pictures of us with my phone. I will book with Hawaii Private Tours if we come back to Oahu in the future.

We started our family vacation with this Tour which was absolutely amazing! Jody knew so much about the island and the Hawaiian history that he had our undivided attention the entire day. He was able to relate not only to this Grandma but also to my grandchildren (13, 11, 10 &5) and made it the favorite tour we did. The grandkids talked about Jody the entire week. He even shared his secret of where to purchase the best ice cream/sherbet and sushi on the island! His enthusiasm was electric and it was evident he truly loved his job and Oahu! Thanks for making our family trip so unforgettable!

Jody was very knowledgeable about the Hawaiian history. He shared many local spots and made sure the teenage boys in the group stayed engaged.

We booked Jody for a private tour of Hawaii's Northshore / Half Circle tour. From our first interaction via email, Jody was super helpful and knowledgeable, accommodated all of our requested stops and gave his own suggestions as well. Jody was so great with my mom (who has mobility issues) and her friend - super patient, knowledgeable about Hawaii's history, and went above and beyond (Example: calling in our lunch order so it was ready when we arrived, saving us waiting in line for 30 minutes). Jody felt like a local friend or family showing us around, not just a tour guide. He also took pictures for us the whole time, which was so helpful - he knew all the best vantage points, and even climbed up to capture the best views (see picture below). I HIGHLY recommend Jody as a private tour guide, and can't express enough thanks to him for making our day so enjoyable. Truly a special day!

Jody met us at the cruise port and wowed us with his knowledge and planning for our day. We were fortunate to have perfect weather and Jody took photos and videos of our stops and sent them to us at the end of the day. So thoughtful. In addition to being a wonderful guide he is also an excellent driver so we could relax and enjoy each location we visited. He assessed our interests and adjusted the day to maximize our enjoyment. He has lived many years in Japan so is fluent in Japanese as well as English. Impressive! Try to connect with Jody for whatever time you have available when you visit Oahu. We used this service for a company trip! We were able to decide the itinerary freely, and with the extra time we got to see the amazing views at Tantalus Hill, which the guide recommended :) We were also given recommendations for great shops in Hawaii, which we used as reference for our trip.
