Ben was very knowledgeable and friendly. He knew the history of Hong Kong and was very accommodating. Would highly recommend.
Relaxing and fun tour in comfortable van. Liz is an amazing guide who is kind, thoughtful, and very knowledgeable.
Liz was a great guide. Enjoyed the tour and the extras it provided. She was conscious of our time constraints but packed a lot in
Fun tour with energetic guide! Fishing village was magical blast from the past. Got our steps in climbing up to see the giant Buddha!
A must do activity in Hong Kong. My guide, Liz, was a true gem, with vast knowledge and a very pleasant demeanor. She created an itinerary that perfectly matched what I had in mind, and was extremely attentive and enthusiastic the whole time.
There are a lot of options when booking a tour in Hong Kong, we count ourselves lucky to have booked with Jacky. From my initial message/inquiry, Jacky responded quickly, answered my questions and worked around my concerns with timing and what I wanted from a tour. We had an 18 hour layover, decided to spend the night at a hotel in Hong Kong, and wanted to spend the following day touring Lantau island before boarding our flight. Jacky recommended start times, and planned the day according to what we wanted to see and our flight out. He picked us up at our hotel and kicked off our tour in the financial district, sharing the history of Hong Kong before heading over to Lantau island. We had adverse weather the day of our tour, but it didn’t deter him. Jacky monitored the weather on his phone, and timed the “downpours” to coincide with driving so that every “break” in the weather landed us at our next destination. The man is a pro! Jacky has a passion for Hong Kong, its culture, its past, and its future. We learned so much during our time with him. It wasn’t just about taking photos or enjoying iconic sites, we learned about the culture and history of the sites we visited. Our time with Jacky was more than I could have hoped for and became a highlight of our trip to Asia. It’s always a surprise when an experience surpasses your expectations because of the effort of one specific person who goes out of their way to make it special. I know there is a tendency to book tours based off price, Jacky’s Lantau tour wasn’t an inexpensive option. But, there is a reason his Lantau tour costs a little more. He’s able to drive on permitted roads, eliminating the need for public transportation, making your tour much more efficient. We wouldn’t have been able to see everything we saw in the time we had without that access. Also, this allowed us to leave our carry on luggage in his van while we toured sites. Jacky timed everything perfectly, getting us to the airport on time despite the weather and action packed itinerary of our tour. He even gave us direction on where to go once we entered the airport, eliminating what would have been confusing for us. If you’re looking to book a tour in Hong Kong, book with Jacky, you won’t be disappointed. He’s engaging, attentive, informative, and does his best to make sure you have a great tour of Hong Kong. When we find ourselves there again, we look forward to seeing more of the city with him.
Hands down best way to see Lantu Island, Jacky was a fantastic guide giving us tons of background history behind Lantu island. Had a comfortable drive to an old fishing village where we first got an informational walking tour & then a boat ride to see the rare pink dolphins and more of the village by boat. Then we were driven up to the Buddhist temple with a walking tour of the grounds before seeing the Buddha. Again Jacky took plenty of photos of the group and gave historical backgrounds behind Buddhism. Lastly we opted to add on the 360 box car to see spectacular views of the island. Where Jacky met us at the bottom and drove us back to the hotel. If you want to see the full island in comfort I recommend this as the tour to do.
Great way to learn about Hong Kong and see a rural area. Ben was an exceptional guide. He was helpful and patient as well.
Jacky was an excellent guide. As my wife was in a wheelchair, we comomunicated extensively prior to the tour to ensure that he could accomodate her needs. Jacky responded to all of my queries promptly and delivered as promised. The intinerary was appropriately adjusted to suit our needs and some challenging road conditions, and Jacky was very informative and friendly. I would highly recommend Jackly and will be using him again when we next visit Hong Kong
This was our second day with Jacky following our Hong Kong city tour. Another wonderful choice of tours. Rather than a transfer from the cruise ship to the airport for a five hour wait, we chose to take in the sites of Lantau Island with 'This is Asia' tours. Jacky picked us up and we had a leisurely drive on the island to visit beautiful beaches, a quaint fishing village, an inspiring temple and finally the Giant Buddha. It was a fabulous way to spend our time, yet see so much of the island. Jacky is so knowledgable and has a crafted route to see the sites. He is informative but doesn't bombard you with information or retain you in a place too long - just the right amount to get exactly what you need. We highly recommend his tours and wish we had several more days with him. Don't miss out on an exceptional opportunity. (trust me, we had just done three weeks of guided tours and Jacky was phenomenal in comparison!)
