I booked a private tour in Mexico City, and it truly exceeded all my expectations. We visited Xochimilco for a beautiful river tour, explored the incredible murals at UNAM, walked through the Historic Center and the Cathedral, wandered the charming streets of Coyoacán, and even stopped for some delicious tacos along the way. What made the experience unforgettable was how attentive, warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and personable my guides were. They shared history with passion, answered every question with care, and made the entire day feel effortless and enjoyable. I felt safe, welcomed, and supported from beginning to end. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Mexico City who wants a meaningful, personalized, and truly enjoyable experience.
Bruno was an excellent tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and helped us understand the history of Mexico. He was extremely kind and we had a wonderful day. He went above and beyond. Our driver Mr Arturo was excellent too
Dear Viator, I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the recent tour I took with your company on 25th January PRIVATE TOUR Historic Center, Xochimilco, Coyoacan and San Angel. The tour guide assigned to us did not meet our expectations, and I feel compelled to share my concerns. Throughout the tour, the guide was not engaged with the group. He did not provide any explanations or details about the places we visited. Instead, he spent most of the time talking on the phone and smoking cigarettes while walking us through the streets. This lack of communication and professionalism was very disappointing. Also, it is our first time to visit Mexico. After a while, we became frustrated and decided to return to the hotel, as we were not getting the experience we had hoped for. As a result, we did not complete the tour. I hope you take this feedback seriously and ensure that future guests do not face similar issues. Sincerely, Mokbel Aly
We regret that this experience was not the best, and without trying to justify ourselves, it is important to comment that on the day of its activity there was a celebration of the firefighters of Mexico City and many of the places of interest were without access, which caused The walk was longer and the guide commented that you rested shortly after long hours of flight, to get to Mexico City and that he noticed some stress so he gave you space and gave you time to drink coffee and go to the bathroom. Regarding the issue of him smoking during the activity and making phone calls, we have made strong corrections to our guide. We offer our most sincere apologies and we appreciate that you help us improve to always provide a better service to our visitors.
Excellent service, the guides Verónica and Ramoncito and Rosi have extraordinary knowledge of Mexico and its wonderful history, culture and gastronomy. I recommend them 100% Another thing I noticed about Verónica and Ramoncito is that they master the English language very well. I recommend them 👏🤩
Booking a private tour with Arturo was was best decision. Our tour with Arturo was the highlight of our trip. Arturo’s vast and deep knowledge of not only Mexican but also world history, architecture, politics, horticulture, art and culture coupled with his passion for storytelling, makes him the perfect historian and tour guide. We came away from our time with Arturo with a better understanding and deep appreciation of Mexican history and culture. Arturo’s professionalism, thoughtfulness and desire to provide a tailored experience that suited our needs shined through the whole day. He set expectations throughout the day with respects to timing, the itinerary, if we we’re running behind/ahead of schedule. He gave us choices if we wanted take quick detours through other parts of the city to see more historic buildings but only with our agreement that it would add more time. Every time we agreed, we were never regretted the decision because he had a great story to tell. He was full of information at every turn. We could have easily filled 2 full days. He also managed transitions well (from car to foot, foot to car etc.) gave ample warning and alwyas ensured we were safe while crossing streets. Lastly, he was very considerate of us -a group of 3 ladies - to always take us to the cleanest bathrooms vs. the public bathrooms. This was key! Overall, an incredible experience worth the time and money because of Arturo. Pro-tips: - request Arturo as your your guide. You won’t regret it. - The scheduled itinerary contained a couple places we had already visited. Our tour guide was flexible and able to accommodate changes to suit our preferences. For example, we had already been to the Frida Khalo museum and opted to go to the Botanical Gardens instead. Also, we requested a 10:00am pick up instead of the 9:00am advertised time and they kindly accommodated the change.
October 2021 we visited beautiful Mexico City. Tripadvisor recommend a trip with Mexico Tours Freelance. This was a very good advice. Our charming and friendly guide Veronica is very knowledgeable and has developed a feel for what her guests really would like to see and hear. Our driver was very capable and guided our tourbus through the Mexico City traffic with ease. The morning trip on the Canals of Xochimilco was tranquil but soon we were entertained by friendly Mariachi musicians. Atmosphere is touristic put people are not pushy. Local familie also celebrate their sundays on the canals in the boats called Trajineras. The upcoming celebration of Day of the Dead gave the whole morning a speciale vibe. The afternoon was filled with visits to rustic Coyocán and the homes of Frida Kahlo and Diego Riveira. The day was concluded with a visit of the Artesan Silver Market in Zona Rosa, the best place to buy authentic handcrafted Tasco silver, prices can be negotiated…
