We had a great time on this Nishiki Market food tour. Our guide was very friendly, spoke excellent English, and shared lots of interesting information about the market and the food. We got to try a variety of delicious local dishes, and the whole experience was enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Chie did an exceptional job! She was informative, engaging and friendly. We learned so much about the history of Kyoto. All the food we sampled was delicious and the lunch was top notch. But the best part was our incredible guide Chie who made our experience so enjoyable and memorable. We highly recommend this tour to others!

Our guide Hikaru was wonderful - personable, energetic, and very attentive to our needs and questions. He was especially good with our 9 year old son - taking time to explain the history and traditions in very clear and interesting ways, and all the time with a kind and warm sense of humor. He also was able to answer our more challenging and inquisitive questions and interests, and tailored the tour towards that end. Definitely a fun way for our family to see the Nishiki market, and to get a little inside perspective of some of its rich traditions.

We had a fantastic food tour of the streets of Kyoto with Hikaru Ono. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. His sense of humour kept the tour fun and engaging, and his English was excellent, making it easy to understand the history, culture, and food we experienced along the way. Hikaru's passion for Kyoto and its food scene really came through, and he took us to places we would never have discovered on our own.
