This is a great way to know a city intimately and can help one understand city on a deeper level with the right guide. That's the expectation my friend and I had at the beginning. One must understand that as a tourist, people signing up for these are not well versed with language or locations. The meet up point provided in the description was not entirely accurate and the host did little to help us meet or direct us. Even thought we were not far from each other. The one good thing was he was responsive via the app. The tour had just two of us. The guide well informed about some topics over others. It was interactive although at times it felt our questions weren't understood or answered accurately. This tour does not include bathroom breaks, so plan accordingly. As we nearing to second half of the trip, we were at Bellas des artes, where my friend and I decided to take bio break. Due to limited availability and long queue at the bathroom, we lost about 20-30 mins. When we met with the guide we were told he is ending the trip and if we had any questions we could ask him . We were taken aback a bit. Nothing was informed to us as to what was left and so we were left to our own devices. This left us with a mediocre experience.
Orlando was a great tour guide. He thought us so much in the time we spent we him. He is very knowledgeable and is truly passionate about the history of this city. Love it
Orland was a great tour guide, professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. We enjoyed the walking while learning (or refreshing our recollection) about Mexico’s rich cultural history. ¡Gracias Orlando!!!!
Orlando has a passion for Mexican history and culture and communicates it in an accessible and very interesting way. He was prompt, professional, courteous and fun. The 3 hours with him were the perfect way to kick off a visit to CDMX. I highly recommend him.
I really enjoyed this tour. The guide is expert in history, took us to several important spots in the city, explained the details of each one, and answered all my questions. His way of explaining is very engaging, easy to understand, and interesting. He is amazing, he also helped me taking photographs of my trip, and gave me suggestions of museums.
Orlando is a great host. Very knowledgeable and patient. Be prepared to walk a lot (hence the name of the tour). Use a good sunscreen and/or use a hat that covers your neck. Bring water, and be ready to be overwhelmed with information. Orlando was quick to answer all questions and has a very good understanding of Mexico City and Tenochtitlan history.
I had a great experience on the walking tour, thanks to Orlando! I was the only participant (and we instantly connected) so it felt like he was a friend giving a private tour. Orlando was incredibly knowledgeable about the area, and thoroughly explained the history behind all of the stopping points on tour (providing images as well). I especially enjoyed Alameda Central! Beyond his expertise, he was very friendly and made me feel welcome and engaged. He used my phone to take several pictures of me on tour, which was extremely thoughtful. It’s a small gesture, but it made the experience so much more personal, and now I have great pictures to remember the day. I would absolutely recommend this experience with Orlando as the guide to anyone looking for a well-organized and enjoyable tour.
