Tour gave some good things to look at and had a lot of stops. App was fairly easy to install and use and infomation was detailed.
Loved the fact that I didn’t have to hold my phone unless I wanted to pause it. It tracked it super accurately and played automatically
It was ok. I think it would have been better if it covered more information on New Orleans history. Very short. I wanted to know more about the French Quarter and not just about legends and inhabitants.
This is a great way to see areas. You can start and stop the audio. Very informative, and up to date.
This walking tour was well worth the money. It was very informative and introduced us well to the various parts of the French Quarter so we could go back later and see some of the things it highlighted that we definitely would have missed otherwise. It could definitely be updated, however. There are some establishments that have moved since the tour, and some of the directions around royal street were confusing, but it's pretty easy to troubleshoot and figure out where you're supposed to go next.
We loved that you go at your pace and could leave and join as you wished, we also loved the interactive tip with the vampire speakeasy!!! We would recommend using earbuds and taking a phone charger.
My husband and I found this self-paced Walking Tour to be very enjoyable and even though I have visited New Orleans many times, I discovered a few hidden gems!
I was able to see and hear live performances. I love the deep dive attraction and the self guided one is better for us solo travelers. Only down side is my GPS would go crazy from time to time and I had to restart my phone. When I say off I mean by 6000+ miles. But I loved
What we liked: that we could do the tour at our own pace in our own time and stop for drinks and lunch! What we didn’t like: some instructions are confusing and others missing, ie: pirates alley just played music and we had to work out where to go based on the next information! Some of the information is out of date, either the reference is no longer there or has changed hands ie: school with mural in the car park is undergoing renovation and has boarding up. Would suggest the tour is re-done and updated where necessary
Doesn’t guide you on to where to go and got lost multiple times. Ended up frustrated and ended tour early.
Hi! Did you follow the arrow in the WalknTours app that points to the next stop? Or hear the guide telling you when you turn or stop? I"m sad it did not work for you, 1000's have taken this tour, and most tell me the tour has "clear directions and great stories". I'd love your feedback on how to improve it! Please email me at info@walkntours, I always want to make the experience better :). I can't wait to hear form you, thank you!
