The most amazing experience ever! Brunch on a steamboat was very worth doing and for the price for two being $160. The food is self served from 11am-12pm. Once you finish eating, the lovely waiters/waitresses will come around to pick up plates. My boyfriend and I continued our time outside listening to the historic facts being told through the speakers, as it was a little noisy inside to hear. We were able to take pictures before boarding and the workers went around looking for everyone to show their pictures to and was able to purchase 2 big pictures, 4 small pictures, a card for a digital picture, and mini holders all for about $40. There's a gift shop, mini bar, and many other rooms to tour to. For the best wind and not so hot environment, the first level is great with breeze since closer to the water, but for more pictures the top level is great with the view! Best for couples, families, friends, or even solo!
Food was very good with various options and we enjoyed the Mississippi River scenery with commentary. Live Jazz band completed the new orleans feel.
Steamboat is fun and relaxing. It’s a family oriented cruise on Mississippi River that is a must to do when you’re in New Orleans.
The experience was wonderful, lunch in the dining room was very good, flavorful, and the staff were attentive to our needs. Sitting on the lower deck provided a breezy experience for the warm day. The band played and the captain narrated what was visible on shore during the trip. I would recommend this adventure to anyone interested in a relaxing couple of hours as well as learning about New Orleans.
We're so glad you chose to spend part of your visit with us! 😊 Delighted to hear you found your journey entertaining and informative. Your feedback is invaluable and helps us to keep improving our services. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you aboard for another great adventure soon!
Get the package with the meal, food was great, however we did not receive our salad as some of the other tables did.
Valerie, thank you for the delightful review of your dining experience. Please accept our apologies if your salads were not presented. We wish a manager had been aware and ensured you received everything fresh and on time.
The food was good but could have been a little bit hotter. They needed staff to move the lines a little bit faster to get on the boat.
Thank you for your review, and we take all input into account with our staff.
Second time on the steamboat on the Mississippi river with this app and it was a great experience! The food is always really, really good, the servers are excellent! Did steamboat Natchez for a dinner cruise in 2025 and now the city of New Orleans for the brunch with $.75 mimosas in 2026 and both were absolutely worth it! We always ask for a celebration this time we asked for a birthday shout out nothing was done. kind of sad but whatever.
Thank you so much for your positive response! We’re delighted you enjoyed your meal and had a another fantastic experience with our team. We love serving wonderful customers like you, and we can’t wait to have you back. We regret that you did not get the birthday shout-out you requested, and although we try to recognize as many as we can, it evidently missed the mark this time.
Staff and food were excellent!. ................................. .................... . ...........
A giant thank you from all of us aboard the NATCHEZ!
The food is pretty good. I told my family not to expect much food and that we'd probably have to get something after but I was wrong. Catfish was the best we had in the city. I really liked the jambalaya. Captain gave lots of interesting facts. Band was good.
Thank you for complimenting the creole sampler. Our narrator and band enjoyed the compliments as well.
Great Steamship tour on the Mississippi River!!!Crew was very helpful and informative to the inner workings of a real steamship( last of it’s kind)!!!Loved the Domino Sugar Cane factory, the Cargo ships, the Cruise ships, the barges, the water taxis and the military ships on the water!!! Loved the view of St Louis Cathedral from the water way!!! The Jazz band was awesome and lots of people/ kids danced to “When the saints go marching in”!!!! Authentic Creole food was served, A/C was available in the Captain’s Saloon!!! Wonderful trip filled with memories!!! CAUTION: BE SURE TO OVERPAY FOR PARKING- WE RETURNED TO OUR CAR THAT WAS BOOTED FOR UNDERESTIMATING TIME WALKING TO AND FROM THE EVENT AND WERE CHARGED AN EXTRA $149 for Parking!!! BOOT MAN, INC takes advantage of travelers unfamiliar with parking charges- they are predatory, disrespectful, dishonest and not very understanding needs of the elderly & handicapped people-the city and leaders know this….. and DO NOTHING!!! We left New Orleans 3 days early and will not return or give this city another dime of our hard earned pension monies!!!
We were delighted to know that our riverboat was a bright spot in your visit to our city. It was a disappointment to learn that the parking company made your departure early and with harsh feelings. It is a privately owned property (not city-owned, nor riverboat-owned) and should be courteous and respectful to all visitors and locals.
