Au cours de cette visite en petit groupe, vous visiterez 3 établissements vinicoles et cela vous donnera un bon aperçu de la scène viticole de Šumadija. Vous goûterez des vins de variétés indigènes locales à Despotika Winery, puis vous découvrirez la cave à vin du roi et son exposition historique où vous goûterez 2 de leurs vins. À la fin, vous explorerez l'éminent domaine viticole Aleksandrović et vous apprendrez ici pourquoi ils sont considérés comme un viticulteur serbe haut de gamme. Votre première étape viticole se situe dans le village de Vlaški Do à la cave Despotika, une cave jeune et accueillante connue pour son approche moderne et son atmosphère détendue. En petit groupe, vous aurez le temps d’apprécier la dégustation à un rythme facile et de vous rapprocher des gens derrière les vins. Le point culminant ici est la Morava, un rare cépage blanc autochtone serbe cultivé par seulement une poignée de caves, vous donnant la chance de goûter quelque chose de vraiment local. Vous goûterez également au Prokupac dans les styles rosé et rouge, offrant une introduction complète au cépage signature de la Serbie.
La visite se poursuit à Topola, le cœur de la région viticole de Šumadija. Ici, vous visiterez la cave à vin royale historique, qui appartenait autrefois à la famille royale Karađorđević, où tradition et vinification se rencontrent naturellement. En parcourant la cave d’origine, vous découvrirez comment le vin y a été fabriqué il y a des décennies et découvrirez des archives impressionnantes qui conservent des bouteilles des années 1930. La visite se termine sur une note détendue avec une dégustation de leurs vins modernes, dont le Sauvignon Blanc et le Cabernet Sauvignon, offrant un joli contraste entre passé et présent.
La dernière étape de la journée vous mènera à la cave Aleksandrović, l'une des principales caves haut de gamme de Serbie. Ici, vous découvrirez le lien entre cette cave et l’historique King’s Winery que vous avez visité précédemment, reliant le patrimoine royal à la vinification serbe moderne. Après une courte introduction et une promenade à travers la cave, vous apprécierez une dégustation de trois vins sélectionnés — dont Triumph, produit selon la recette royale originale. C’est un final approprié qui boucle la boucle de l’histoire des vins de Šumadija, de la tradition à aujourd’hui.
Après avoir terminé les dégustations de vin, vous profiterez d'une pause déjeuner détendue dans un restaurant local réputé de Topola. Votre Guide vous aidera à naviguer dans le menu et vous suggérera des accords mets et vins, avec de nombreux vins de Šumadija disponibles si vous avez envie de poursuivre la dégustation à votre rythme. Une fois le déjeuner terminé, vous vous asseoirz et profiterez d'un confortable retour en voiture à Belgrade - une fin calme pour une journée remplie de vins, d'histoires et de compagnie facile à vivre.

We spent a great day with Miljan who thought us the wine history of Serbia, and explained about indigenous grapes and wine production in Serbia. We visited 3 wineries and tasted 8 wines in total, covering white, rose and red wines from both indigenous and international grapes. We also had a lunch stop were we learned about and explored the Serbia cuisine. I can highly recommend joining this tour!
The guide Miljan was perfect, knowledgeable in wines, history… you name it. Sumadija is beautiful, wines taste lovely but we missed some/any nibbles during the wine tasting except in winery Despotika were we got TUC crackers. This probably can be arranged with the wineries and its nothing to blame the guide. We recommend this tour from the bottom of our hearts! Thank you!
Our tourhost Andrija was professional, knowledgeable and fun to spend a day with. We visited and enjoyed Serbian wine while getting tours of each winery and learning about the history and artistic craft of each wine. The winemasters are proud of their product and enjoy sharing with guests. We also visited the Royal Winery along with its informative museum. This tour was spectacular in many ways. From learning about the rich history of Serbia snd its proud culture to seeing the breathtaking countryside. We will be booking another tour this week. Serbia is a wonderful country with warm welcoming people. Serbian Private Tours and their staff are wonderful ambassadors of this majestic country.
Three wineries and lunch. My wife and I were just speechless. Our tour guide Vlada was outstanding. If I have to pick my favourite winery, it would definitely be Aleksandrovic due to their superb wines, but Despotika is placed in extraordinary landscape (and wines are definitely to look forward to). As for King's winery, it has to be seen from history perspective - it is a beautiful, beautiful winery, but right now doesn't have too much in wine offerings.
Being on a business trip to Serbia I especially wanted to get to know Serbian wineries, vineyards, methods and especially - wines. Group trip converted to a private trip due to low number of interested tourists, however I've got a chance to spend a fabulous day with Miljan, who not only knows about local wine industry, but shared a lot of other stories about Serbian culture, history, religious influence and customs. The selection of wineries is great - from state-owned to family-owned, from prosperous to just started and from big-money ones to local producers. This will give you the opportunity to see the spectrum of wine business in Serbia (at least the South region of Belgrade) and the wines they make. Add to it high level of professionalism, enthusiasm and a nice personal touch and you'll have a perfect day And this is what I've experienced :)
