This is the best way to see Fushimi Inari! It was raining and not very crowded. It was gorgeous at night. I’ve toured it during the day and it is way too packed. I totally recommend seeing it at night with a guide. Nori was a wonderful guide, very knowledgeable and not just about the tour. We had a great group, a guy from Brazil and a woman from Australia, plus our US group. We had some fun discussions about history and Japanese cultura and other random fun topics. This is the best part of group tours, getting to know other travelers and local residents.
Excellent tour with a very knowledgeable tour guide, Beck. He really knew the history and significance of the locations we visited. Highly recommend this tour!
Had a wonderful time! Roman was great! He was very knowledgeable and made it a great experience! He went above and beyond! Would highly recommend the tour, especially with him!
We had a private tour since we were probably the only ones who booked that day. Our guide Tammy explained a lot to us, and we learned so much about the shrine as well as about Shinto beliefs and Buddhism. Additionally, she gave us tips for our time in Kyoto. The shrine itself is very impressive and beautiful, especially at night when it is not so crowded. We had a lot of fun!
We had a good tour with Beck. We were 6 persons in the tour - 3 groups- and he was able to handle each group’s concerns. He gave detailed history and information about Fushimi Inari and we did not feel rushed during this tour. Would recommend this tour and avoid the crowds!! 👌🏼
Highly recommend this tour! It is the only guided tour we booked during this Japan trip, and it turned out to be a great experience! Our guide, Beck, is knowledgeable and considerate; we learned a great deal about Japanese Shintoism from him. The place looks magical at dusk; it is less crowded and cooler than during the day, and the panoramic night view of Kyoto from the mountain top is a bonus. While walking up the steps through the consecutive shrine gates, you feel like traveling through time, seeing light receding from the gates gradually. My 11-year old son was very excited and engaged the whole time. It will be a memorable and unique experience for him.
This is the only guided tour we booked during this Japan trip. We decided to visit Fushimi Inari in the evening to avoid the crowd and heat, and it turned out to be a great idea. Our guide Beck is very knowledgeable and considerate, the shrines look beautiful at dusk, and the panoramic night view of Kyoto from the mountain top is a bonus. It is a very unique and worthwhile experience. We recommend this tour and Beck to everyone!
Our guide was Phoebe and she was excellent. Spoke good English, took pictures, helped us make wishes at the various shrines, answered lots of questions, was very friendly, and just a lovely person.
Loved the tour and especially the ability to sightsee without the crowd. The night time definitely adds to the atmosphere! Roman was a great guide, very knowledgeable, friendly and happy to share his experience about living in Japan.
Very nice experience, very kind guide who explains well; the visit was truly enjoyable and very interesting. I learned a lot; I highly recommend Roman, an excellent guide. Thank you again.
