Nous visiterons The Zaanse Schans, un charmant village de préservation historique rempli de maisons traditionnelles et de moulins à vent emblématiques. Vous aurez l'occasion d'explorer les moulins à vent, d'observer les sabots en cours de fabrication et de profiter d'une délicieuse expérience de dégustation de fromage. Ensuite, nous nous dirigerons vers Keukenhof, le jardin de printemps le plus étonnant du monde ! Les jardins sont ouverts du 20 mars au 11 mai 2025 et présentent environ 7 millions de fleurs printanières, dont des tulipes, des jonquilles, des jacinthes et des crocus. Gardez à l’esprit que les fleurs ne fleurissent pas toutes en même temps, de sorte que l’affichage peut varier tout au long de la saison.

Vous serez pris en charge à votre hôtel à Amsterdam.
Nous arrivons au Zaanse Schans. Il s'agit d'un village préservé avec une variété de maisons historiques, d'entrepôts et de moulins à vent industriels en activité. On a l'impression de voyager dans le temps ! Vous découvrirez comment était la vie entre les XVIIIe et XIXe siècles. Nous profiterons d'une agréable promenade devant les vieilles maisons en bois avec leurs détails d'origine préservés, comme les portes d'apparat et les linteaux sculptés, dégusterons du chocolat local à la chocolaterie, et terminerons par une visite d'un moulin à vent en activité.
À la fromagerie d'Henry Willig, nous aurons une dégustation de fromages Gouda et Edam. Ils font partie du top 10 des fromagers mondiaux. Si vous êtes amateur de fromage… vous êtes au paradis du fromage ! Ils proposent 30 saveurs et conçoivent des fromages spécialement pour les voyages.
Démonstration de fabrication de chaussures en bois. Vous avez toujours voulu savoir comment est fabriqué un sabot ? Rejoignez la démonstration de fabrication de chaussures en bois et découvrez-le. Dans le musée du sabot, nous vous dirons tout sur les sabots. Vous pouvez même essayer ou acheter une paire de sabots en bois !
Une visite de la dernière usine de peinture au monde « De Kat ». Il a été construit à l'origine en 1781. Il s'agit d'un moulin octogonal avec un chapeau rotatif et une galerie extérieure. Depuis sa restauration et sa reconstruction partielle en 1960, elle est aménagée pour broyer des matières colorantes comme pigments. Après une explication du fonctionnement du moulin à vent, vous avez la possibilité de grimper sur le moulin et de réaliser de belles photos sur la galerie extérieure.

Had an awesome day visiting windmills and viewing tulips with Esther! She had great insight into how windmills work and millers operate, being a miller’s daughter herself (hence Windmill Girl!). She also knew all the best photo spots and took great photos! Super friendly and generous, too, with great taste in music. We had a super fun day with her!

Incredible trip! Esther was fun, friendly and informative. Loved the local knowledge and ties to the area. Our guide’s name was Esther and she is a native of Nederland and actually grew up in a working windmill that her parents still own and operate today. Bring a local means that she has additional information and unique perspectives to share as you go from place to place. We did the windmill and tulip tour. It was March 21st so just a bit too early to see the tulips in bloom. We did still see fields of yellow daffodils which were pretty, but the tour was quite expensive and we were a bit disappointed that the tulip farm didn’t offer a “low season” rate or at least throw in lunch or something. I would definitely recommend hiring Esther as your guide, but if you’re going to see the tulips, she tells us that mid-April until end of May is the best time to go.

The Keukenhof gardens are only open for seven weeks a year, and it all depends on Mother Nature what will be in bloom during that time.
