Stefan was amazing. He is patient and passionate. He explained how mountain biking is a different experience from biking altogether . He took us on an easy trail first and then a harder one when we were able to demonstrate some prowess. Would highly recommend.
The trail was too snowy and icy for biking. Plan B was a 3 mile hike. I had a great time with Bill, talking, looking at the wildlife signs and enjoying the beauty of the Colorado mountains. Bill was kind enough to tailor the hike for some one lives at sea level.
This is my second time going on this tour. The first time was something to break up our guys trip in Denver and a alternate way to see the mountains. This time I took another friend because of the same reasons. I chose Saturday 1pm as that was enough time in case of a previous late night or if you wanted to catch an early breakfast. Our pickup was at the convention center which was a few blocks from our hotel (under the blue bear, can't miss it). Vick was our driver and guide and pointed out important places along the drive up to the mountain. I can't remember last time if I chose beginner but this time I chose intermediate. I'm in relatively good shape, but I struggled this time unlike the last time. We were given some safety and additional riding tips before we got started. Helmets, gloves, water and snack was provided. Vick was great at stopping and checking in on how we (I) was doing. The top of our climb we stopped for pictures and video, which Vick was kind enough to take since we didn't bring our phones. Going down remeber Vick will go faster or slower depending on who is second in line. The ride has enough turns and dips to give you some excitement and just enough danger to raise the adreniline. After the ride we stopped at the headquarters and had a beer at the bar connected to the office, great patrons and staff. Vick gave us a ride back and talked about any additional landscapes we may have missed. I highly recommend this tour as a great mountain tour and nice activity to break up your typical trip to Denver. I will probably do this trip any time I come to Denver.
Amazing experience from the moment we got there. Our guide Vic was awesome, worked with the 2 of us, didn’t push us, had our best interest and safety in-hand the entire 3 hours. Trail was tough and it was only a ‘green’ trail, but we rode hard, too breaks often and was an incredible experience. Can’t wait to do it again.
A lot of fun. We were just two of us that did a ride with our guide, Vic. I was struggling a bit with the altitude but Vic was very considerate and gave us some time to catch our breaths when climbing. Scenery was of course beautiful and Vic was very insightful and informative about the land and area. Very interesting. Ride was a lot of fun with nice trails. Would definitely recommend.
Great trails to ride. A bit of climbing, fast flowing sections and some snow. Vic was a great trail guide and gave us locations for great pictures.
Had wanted to try mountain biking for many years but didn’t want to spend the money on all the gear before committing. Denver Adventures was the answer. Vic was my guide. Great experience. Told Vic I wanted some instruction (technique, trail etiquette, equipment, etc.) and some experience. I absolutely got my money’s worth. Denver Adventures provided all the equipment (bike, helmet, gloves). Vic provided all the up front info, even before getting on the bike, but it wasn’t overwhelming. Just enough to get started. On the trail, he stopped frequently to cover another topic/technique, building on info already provided. Then we’d ride some more, giving me the chance to get some experience. Continued that way throughout the day. Very well done. Learned a lot, got some great experience, and left with things I can practice at home for the next time on the trail.
We really loved our guide Vic. He gave us great instruction which was very helpful since we are beginners. He was very patient and encouraging. Thank you Vic!
Great tour, Great ride, great guide. Nice break in our city trip. Great views. I missed the part which mentioned the pick up costs, but considering Uber and car rental fees in Denver, it was still a deal. Water and trail snacks was provided. Lots of breaks as needed. Bring your camera and GoPro! Take the afternoon tour if you plan on partying the night before, your not going to be at your best for the morning tour. (we booked afternoon). Well worth it for the experience. Would do it again.
Our guide was very skilled knowledgeable and professional. He was very friendly and welcoming and made sure everyone was keeping up with the group.
