A great tour of Commencement Bay in a comfortable open boat. The Captain is knowledgeable on the local history, as well as the current marine activities in the port. And the cloudy weather was perfect for photos, so don't worry about the weather.
Thank you for your review of our Port of Tacoma, Commencement Bay tour!
Captain Ethan was the highlight! He was knowledgeable, entertaining and incredibly observant. He pointed out the wildlife that we may have otherwise missed, a bird catching and eating a fish, sea lions, purposes, and seals. We will definitely take another tour with this company!
We are glad for your enthusiasm for our tour! Thank you!
A fun 2 hour tour with up close visits all through the sound! Got to see seals and ships loading and unloading! Bonus sighting of porpoises and lots of jumping salmon. Captain Ethan was full of tribal knowledge of the area and was very entertaining!
Chris, We are happy that you got on our great Port of Tacoma tour with Captain Ethan!
We learned a lot from our very knowledgeable guides who were also very entertaining. We got to see a seal rookery and a bald eagle. I highly recommend this tour whether you are a local or visiting, as our group was a mixture of both and all of us loved the tour.
Thank you Colleen, We are happy you all had a good time!
Wonderful experience! The captain is knowledgeable about the history and surroundings of the areas we discovered. The boat was clean, safe, and comfortable! This is my 4th cruise with Destiny and I will continue to bring visiting friends and family on these fabulous cruises.
Thank you for your loyal, repeat patronage Kathy!
Fantastic Experience on Puget Sound! We had a wonderful couple of hours out on the water. The captain was knowledgeable and professional, and the boat was in great shape—comfortable and safe. We learned so much about Tacoma’s waterfront, the sound, and its history. The weather was perfect, and the overall experience was relaxing and memorable. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!
Thank you Joseph, We are glad you went on our fantastic Port of Tacoma Tour and Puget Sound tour from Tacoma!
This was our first visit to Gig Harbor. Taking the boat tour seemed like a perfect way to view the shoreline from the water. The tour boat guide was knowledgable about the history and interesting facts viewed along the way. Got to see several bald eagles nestling in the trees as well as groups of harbor seals. Be sure to wear a hat and sunscreen. The boat only provides cover for very few persons.
Thank you for coming on our tour!
The price really reasonable also I and my teenage super enjoyed the boat trip yesterday so we’d recommend to our friends
Thank you so much for your review!
Captain Eaton was a great narrator - historical perspective, knowledgeable, but not overly chatty. Had a good eye on surroundings to point out wildlife, sea planes, tugs, etc. I loved going by the cargo ships getting loaded. A fun trip!
Tacoma tour is a great tour! Capt. Ethan is the Tacoma expert! Thanks for your review Daniel.
This is the third time I’ve been on a boat tour with Captain Ethan in Gig Harbor and Tacoma taking friends along each time. He shares so much information and history about the area. The boat is comfy and roomy, and you can see everything so well. Captain Ethan is friendly and knowledgeable. This is a great easy adventure for out-of-town guests.
Thank you Laureen. We appreciate your acknowledgement of Capt. Ethan as a guide, captain and all-around good guy!
