Description
Entrez dans la clandestinité pour une visite d'histoire à pied d'une heure à travers le quartier original de Seattle. Nos guides expérimentés conduisent de petits groupes au-dessus et au-dessous de la place des Pionniers jusqu'au niveau de la rue qui existait dans les années 1890. Explorez les sentiers souterrains qui ont été construits il y a plus de 120 ans, en apprenant des détails sur l'histoire de Seattle, pourquoi ces espaces ont été construits et comment ils ont été utilisés (et mal utilisés) au fil des ans. Émerveillez-vous de la façon dont cette ancienne batture s'est transformée depuis en l'une des 20 plus grandes villes des États-Unis.

Beneath the Streets se concentre sur des informations factuelles et historiques détaillant la naissance de notre ville, son architecture de 1890 et plusieurs autres histoires, dont la ruée vers l’or du Klondike, Skid Row et les peuples salish du littoral qui ont habité la région pour la première fois. Nos guides touristiques participent à des ateliers sur les traditions culturelles et l'histoire avec des historiens invités et des membres des tribus autochtones dans le cadre de leur développement professionnel continu.
Nous couvrons quatre pâtés de maisons historiques Pioneer Square et explorer trois passages souterrains construits à l'origine dans les années 1890. Vous verrez et entendrez l'histoire du quartier depuis les niveaux de rue d'origine et actuels.

Mark was our guide and he was hilarious, very knowledgeable and very accommodating. We will forever look different about walking around in pioneer square now. Recommended, especially if the above ground weather is less than desirable

When I travel, I love to explore the history of the areas. This tour gave so much insight to the city of Seattle. Our tour guide, Sarah, had so much energy and enthusiasm during her presentation. Imogen was an excellent guide! We weren’t sure what to expect but she was so personable, funny, and with just the right amount of drama added in, even our 15 year old enjoyed himself! We learned a lot and it was neat to see the city from a different perspective.

Our family, including 3 teens, took this tour while in Seattle for the first time following a cruise. We absolutely loved the tour and learned a tremendous amount about the Seattle from behind the scenes. Our tour guide, Jen, was very friendly, energetic and super knowledgeable!!! We were amazed to learn all of the interesting facts as to how current day Seattle came to be. Even our 3 teens loved the tour and came away with different unique things they learned! We found ourselves looking for clues of old Seattle during the rest of our day walking around the city. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Seattle who wants to learn some really interesting and cool things about the history of Seattle, the big Seattle fire, the gold rush, etc. If you can, request Jen… she was awesome!!
