Jean Pierre (JP) was a great tour guide. We learned so much about the origins of the national parks and about animals native to Costa Rica. He was able to find and show us so many animals and took some great photos for us. I’d recommend this tour company for your trip!
Amazing experience and we saw a lot of animals!! Tour guide had such a great eye! Would do it again in a heart beat
Leo was very knowledgeable and offered a deep insight into the evolution of the park from an island to a " Whale Tail" as it stands today. He spotted several animals in the park and shared them with the group using his telescope. He also assisted with taking photos using the telescope as a life time memory to take back home with you. The coastal side of the Manuel Antonio was gorgeous and have breath taking Vistas for relaxing and rejuvenation.
Money well spent! We had a private tour with Milton. He was very knowledgeable and personable! Highly recommended Milton!
Everything was correct; the guide was at the meeting point and was very professional, helping us a lot to see animals that we would not have seen otherwise.
¡Muchas gracias por su reseña! Nos alegra saber que disfrutaron del tour y fue un placer tenerlos con nosotros! Pura vida!
Everything went as planned; I had to change the date and it was no problem. I want to highlight the guide who was very kind and professional.
¡Nos alegra mucho que hayan disfrutado la experiencia! Fue un placer compartir ese momento con ustedes. Pura vida!
Guide was a few mins late. Not a big deal, but the last message from the owner (Diego) of the company, was for us not to be late to be prompt at 750am. We were. 8am rolled around and all other tours and companies had left, we were still waiting for ours to show. I called Diego and he had a bad attitude vs. being apologetic. When guide showed up, he did not arrive at the place as we were instructed (Chalo’s parking lot). He stood outside on the sidewalk in front of store. My husband just happened to look lost when the guide asked if he could help. Then as we proceed to enter the park, everyone has their ticket BUT the tour guide. Diego had not purchased the ticket for his guide. Lost 10mins there waiting for that to get sorted out. As for tour itself, we spent quite a bit of time on looking at hummingbirds and insects. Finally got to see a sloth right at the end of the tour. Phew. Tour ended at beach. Lovely, soft sandy, clean beach. My daughter got stung by a jelly fish on her right foot and on her left knee. We were not warned of the jelly fish being in high season due to the rain, nor of the vinegar that is apparently made available in little houses for guests to use. We ended up at rangers station where we were informed and daughter got “treated”. Be prepared for the unexpected.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re sorry to hear that your visit did not meet your expectations. Our team always strives to begin tours on schedule and provide clear meeting instructions in advance. While occasional brief delays can happen due to operational circumstances, we work hard to minimize them and keep guests informed. Likewise, our guides are instructed to meet guests at the designated location and ensure a smooth entry into the park. Regarding wildlife viewing, every tour is unique because the animals are free in their natural habitat. Our guides aim to showcase the incredible biodiversity of Manuel Antonio, from colorful birds and insects to mammals such as sloths and monkeys, while adapting to what nature offers each day. We’re especially sorry to hear about your daughter’s jellyfish sting. Although marine conditions can change from day to day and are outside our control, we’re glad she was able to receive prompt assistance from the park staff and hope she recovered quickly. We appreciate your feedback, as it helps us continue reviewing our procedures and improving the experience we provide to future guests.
We had a very pleasant and educational experience with Milton. We saw monkeys, hummingbirds, frogs, lizards and many others. We got a good view of a sloth! We learned a lot from the tour guide. The park itself is beautiful, and the beach is gorgeous, with warm water and picturesque views. Highly recommend!
We’re delighted you enjoyed the tour! It was such a joy to explore and share those special moments with you. Pura vida!
We saw several animals, but it was only because we had a great guide. Milton, our guide, did an amazing job of spotting animals and helping us get great pictures. I think a guide with a spotting scope is needed to get the most out of the park. Mosquito repellent is also highly recommended.
Thank you for your review! We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and it was wonderful having you on the tour. Pura vida!
Our guide was Leo. He is very passionate about his work and it shows. We enjoyed learning about the history of the park and about the animals living there. His tour was well paced for us older folks. We recommend this tour.
