The Highlight of Our Costa Rica Trip! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you're visiting Manuel Antonio National Park, do yourself a favor and book a tour with Alonso. He transformed what would have been a beautiful walk into one of the most memorable experiences of our entire trip to Costa Rica. Alonso has an unbelievable ability to spot wildlife. Without him, we would have walked right past most of the animals! During our tour, we saw both two-toed and three-toed sloths, all three monkey species that call the park home, a venomous snake, a boa constrictor, several species of spiders, multiple iguanas and lizards, and countless other incredible animals. His knowledge of where to find them is simply amazing. Beyond his incredible wildlife spotting skills, Alonso is exceptionally knowledgeable about Costa Rica, its ecosystems, and the unique relationships between the plants and animals that live there. During the off-season he is a teacher, and it truly shows. Rather than simply pointing things out, he makes the experience interactive, educational, and fun. He answered every question with enthusiasm and explained fascinating facts in a way that kept everyone engaged, regardless of age. He also went above and beyond to make sure our group had an outstanding experience. He happily accommodated our interests, never made us feel rushed, and genuinely wanted us to experience the very best of Manuel Antonio. At the end of the tour, Alonso treated us to samples of delicious native Costa Rican fruit and then took us to a wonderful local restaurant where we enjoyed an authentic Costa Rican lunch—such a thoughtful way to end an incredible day. I also want to mention how safe we felt with him. The roads can be busy with motorcycles, pedestrians, and unexpected obstacles, but Alonso is an excellent driver, and we felt comfortable and well cared for throughout the day. If you're looking for a guide who is passionate, professional, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely loves sharing the beauty of Costa Rica with visitors, Alonso is the person to book. Alonzo was the best tour guide! We were a group of 10 and he took the time to find and explain everything. He spotted things we would have never spotted on our own. We would recommend him to anyone going to Costa Rica!

My family and I were in Costa Rica for 9 days and did various tours and Alonso was hands down the best guide we had during our whole trip! His enthusiasm and love for wildlife and his country is contagious. Even though it was raining when we were at Manuel Antonio Park, we saw so much wildlife and no way would we be able to do so without Alonso. He has a wealth of information and was so engaging with our young boys. You can tell Alonso is well respected amongst the other guides too. I've read posts where people were getting stressed about buying tickets and such but Alonso made it so seamless for us, guiding us from the moment we booked with him, sending us all the information we need, where to park, how to avoid scams, etc. Pura vida!

Alonso was so easy to work with from start to finish. He was knowledgeable and made the process so easy. We saw so many animals and with him as a private guide we weren't apart od the large group choas.

We are SO happy we took this tour! Manuel Antonio is beautiful on its own, and to have a great guide show us so much flora and fauna was amazing! Ask for Brandon C and ask for a private tour for your group! Brandon was so helpful, kind, and easy to communicate with! When the tour was done, we climbed Isla de Catedral on our own for some more excellent views. This was definitely pura vida and we can’t wait to bring our kids back to do it again!

This tour was great! We saw so many different animals because our guide had an amazing eye and was able to spot them easily. I also really liked how educational the tour was. Alonso, our guide, gave us a lot of information about the animals we saw and even showed us some additional videos. At the end of the tour, he shared great photos and videos of all the animals with us. I highly recommend this tour. Thanks to Alonso, we had a very interesting, informative, and educational experience.

Luis Alonso was absolutely amazing guide! We had an incredible experience thanks to his expertise. We saw lots of monkeys and four sloths! One of the sloths was even climbing around. He helped us locate the bats, lizards, birds and insects, and his knowledge of the park, nature and history made the experience one of the best we have ever had. Thank you, Luis!

Amazing tour with Andre! We saw lots. Macaws, baby porcupine! We went early in the am right when the park opened. Great experience. Would recommend. Andre was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic! Would go again!
