We went by subway next on our last day in Hong Kong. A short walk from the metro, but it is well signposted. You have 2 choices, the crystel and the regular car. We take the regular ones, the crystel has clear glass and a glass bottom, don't know what it costs. There was a line, but it went very smoothly. We were with 1 family and 1 more couple in it, which was fine. Wonderfully quiet in 25 minutes up, over forest and the sea with a beautiful view. Photos are also taken when boarding, which you can buy upstairs. You will enter the town, with souvenir shops and restaurants. We liked it, getting away from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. The great Buddha is standing there, quite a climb to get there. Nice weather 25 minutes back with the cable car. We thought it was definitely worth it!!
Beautiful views, beautiful temple, nice food and drink places and nice souvenir shops. Unfortunately due to the Crystal, crystal + and private gondola options did wait a very long time for the ordinary tourist.. If successful we recommend the bus or take the challenge and walk!
For those who are not afraid of height is spectacular and with good weather is D+ many photos and quiet walk. Would return easy
The experience is really good and the staff are really helpful and polite but the lines for the cable cars 🚡 are really long and really slow 🐌 if this was out of the equation then I would definitely give a 5star rating.
Wait time is too long, waited 3 hours. The crystal cabin is more frequent then normal one. Where the standard cabin queue is endless, you are forced to make a decision to wait 3 hours+ or buy crystals as a upgrade. It's basically designed in a way to force u to pay higher price or wait long hours.
Great tour , I did not really want to take a tour from Kowloon because I didn’t need a guide from there even though I was staying there ,I essentially walked on Kowloon promenade to the star ferry and then to Hong Kong station ,took train from there straight to Tung Chung ,this cut down the cost of the tour by half and gave me extra time to do stuff on my own as well as tour was for 5 hours ,at Nnong Ping ,special thanks to Luna expertly shepherded us to the front of the very long Chinese New year weekend queue to a beautiful crystal plus cabin (both ways ) ,we then met our very funny and engaging guide Ricky (Martin ) and had a wonderful guided tour of both Tai O and Po Lin monastery ,We then walked up the Tian Tan Buddha steps and also saw the movie . I would have done the Wisdom path if we had reached a tad earlier ,even saw the beautiful white dolphins at Tai O.
Was so crowded and we waited in a long queue for hours. After we arrived at the Buddha, the activities was not a lot to browse or to have fun with. The long queue was def the disappointing part and it kinda ruined the whole trip.
Ivan did really great verz friendly and sympathic guy. Would anytime book it again if im in hongkong. We saw pink dolphins and all the stops are very nice
Ver bad experience, charged for tickets way before the line starts, without informing on the crowd It was waste of 2 hours only lineup You need to a full day just to reach up
Thank you for your feedback regarding your visit and regret to hear about your queuing experience. Due to the high demand for the cable car services during the peak festive season we have implemented an e-queue pass system for all guests to better manage the flow of guests and ensure orderliness. We have introduced various measure to remind guests that it was not necessary to wait at the cable car terminal. and explore the surrounding area including Citygate Outlets. We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for bringing your experience to our attention.
My friend and I booked a crystal cabin for going up and the 360 view was incredable. I highly recommnended if you are in Hong Kong or one of the surronding islands.
