Tina was great. Walking us around the markets and food
Absolutely amazing tour, loved every second of it! Our guide made our tour unique and we learnt so much… not just about food but also about the local culture, history and beliefs in relation to foods as well as the geographical location. Choices of food tastings were generous & varied and absolutely delicious! Information & tastes about all sorts of diet choices (eg vegan to meat). Would recommend & repeat for sheer fun and enjoyment 😊
The food tour with Jean wasn’t just about food it was a cultural immersion. Jean told us about the history of Taiwan from architecture to culture with food being the main focus. The group was small and intimate and we tasted lots of delicious things that were all included in the price of the tour. I don’t eat pork out of choice and not for religious reasons so Jean went out of her way to find alternatives. Not an easy task as pork is I staple and is present in most dishes. I cannot recommend this tour enough, it was fabulous! Be sure to request the Jean as your guide.
I loved this tour, our guide was awesome and overall a great experience! There is also a LOT of food so be prepared ❤️. The walk is easy but yes it is hot so hydrate. Fun and would recommend.
I've done many food tours around the globe, and Taipei Eats has got to be one of the absolute best. Jean is an outstanding tour guide, she's knowledgeable about the food, the neighborhoods, the history, and anything else you'd want to know. She had a relationship with all of the vendors and restaurants we stopped at. There is so much food to try. Try it all, it's all excellent. You really get a feel for the area, and you'll want to come back and try even more things. I cannot recommend this tour enough. As a former hospitality/travel professional, Taipei Eats is deginitely one of the top tours I've ever been on.
We can’t rate this tour highly enough, our guide Jean was patient, informative and adapted to fit the needs of our group. We learned heaps on this tour and tried things we wouldn’t have otherwise known about. It is a fantastic introduction to Taipei, Dihua Street and the delicious food that Taiwan has to offer.
Our guide Tina was a fantastic host, 17,000steps mostly flat land. Great pace and the food was varied and very good! Highly recommend..
Delicious, informative and entertaining! We tried so many different things, many of which I would have never even known or been able to order by myself. From congee to dumplings to bethel nuts to various sweets to healthy drinks - there were so many stops and so much to try, learn and eat - I get hungry just thinking about it. We visited tiny street stalls, old shops, restaurants and markets and learned so much about Taiwanese food and culture! Our guide was fantastic, passionate, friendly and well informed. I can not recommend this tour highly enough. Should I ever have the opportunity to do so, I will book one of the other tour by the same company.
Did the tour today and it was fantastic. Our guide Jean went above and beyond what you normally get on these tours. Highly recommend Taipei Eats !
Jean led our old town walking food tour. It was a great introduction to the city on our first day in Taipei. She did a great job of teaching us about the history and different influences on the city, while tasting A LOT of great food. You can tell she knows her city, the shop owners, and is passionate about sharing her city. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone!
