We enjoyed a full day trip from Kanazawa to the Noto Peninsula with driver Takeshi-san. He was an excellent guide and took us to see some very interesting sights, such as terraced rice fields, a local market and a salt farm. We enjoyed a beautiful seafood lunch, some good music and a drive along the beach. But most of all we got an understanding of the effects of the devastating earthquake that hit the Noto area two years ago and how huge and ongoing the reconstruction works are. Thank you Takeshi-san!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback. We’re really glad to hear you had such a meaningful and enjoyable day exploring the Noto Peninsula with Takeshi-san. It’s wonderful that you were able to experience the beautiful landscapes, local culture, and seafood, while also gaining a deeper understanding of the region’s recovery and reconstruction efforts after the earthquake. Thanks from all of us at Kanazawa Tours, we truly appreciate your kind words!
It was really pleasant. Our driver/guide Junki was very friendly, considerate, and attentive. Highlights of the day were the drive along Chirihama and the boat ride at Ganmon; very impressive.

We had a wonderful time with our guide and driver, Nori. The rice terraces, salt farm, and driving on the beach were all memorable experiences. This is a wonderful "deep cut" that shows a part of Japan that many tourists never get to see - I highly recommend it.
Delighted to hear Nori, one of our driver guides, taking you off the beaten track. Noto is a beautiful peninsula and well worth a visit. Thank you for sharing this great experience with us. Thank you from all of us here at Kanazawa Tours
Noto peninsula is a beautiful area! our guide/driver Mai was great as well. Unfortunately, it was raining a lot during our tour and this impacted some of the activities we could do- mostly the salt farm since they require sunny days for the salt making process. Customer service was top notch when I mentioned we were unable to experience the full tour. Despite this and even in the rain, the views from the rice paddies are something we will remember forever. What a beautiful place!
Dear Ilana, Thank you for the positive feedback and support, we are sorry the weather didn't hold up for you on the day. It was a pleasure working with you and we hope the rain holds off for the rest of your trip. Thank you for chosing Kanazawa Tours
Nozomi was our guide for an amazing tour of Noto Peninsula. We cannot say enough good things about her; she made the day! Noto Peninsula has beautiful coastal scenery, but it was our time with Nozomi that we remember the most. She was absolutely delightful -- outgoing personality; incredibly knowledgeable about any and all aspects of Japanese life, history and culture; gracious; impeccable English; loads of fun to spend time with. She went above and beyond to make sure that not only were we enjoying our time on Noto Peninsula, but also that we would get the most out of our solo days in Kanazawa, recommending restaurants, shops, etc. Nozomi is a gem; hands down one of the best guides we have ever had on an international trip.
Thank you for the stunning review of Nozomi(your guide) and the Noto Peninsula. It is always great to hear how one of our ambassadors shines in the field and illuminates the Noto Peninsula. Thank you for taking the time to share this valuable review with us.
Decided to see more of the countryside and Kanazawa Tours provided this excellent option of visiting the Noto Peninsula- Taka arrived to pick me up and off we went for a day of exploring- so much fun- saw markets in Wajima, salt making processes, driving on beaches- that was fun especially in a large car, rice paddies tiers and Kiriko museum (large lanterns of the Wajima area) and brilliant scenery! Taka was an excellent drive and most knowledgeable and I had such a great time away from. cities and seeing rural Japan.
Thank you again for taking our Noto peninsula tour, we are so happy to see that Taka took you such good care of you. we sincerely appreciate your feedback and positive review. We hope that the Wajima market and the 1000 rice fields were a great setting for fond memories, we wish you all the best for 2020.
First I want to say, that the name of the company is Kanazawa Tours. I offer this because I was confused by TA's name when initially doing research on choosing a tour in Kanazawa for myself, my husband and son (age 24). Second, and more importantly, I want to say that this tour ranked among my favorite that I've taken around the world. The customer service in arranging the tour was excellent and responsive. Mike, who I think is the owner, helped tailor this tour for what we wanted, which was food-centric. We went to an outdoor market where we purchased local fish and then took it to a little place that cooked it for you (like for a $1.00) and ate it there. Amazing and unique experience. Then went to rice fields (lucky to be there during harvest). I cannot put into words the beauty of the fields, right alongside the crashing ocean...magnificent! Then onto a salt manufacturer (if you can call it that). The process is to take ocean water and spray it out to dry and then boil it down. The owner of the place was just wonderful. Also went to a winery. Also made stops along Noto's rugged coast and through quaint villages. Our driver/guide was outstanding...Thank you Taka! To me, understanding different cultures by interacting with locals is what makes travel so special. This tour was excellent and I recommend it 100%.
Thank you for the very positive feedback, we are delighted that your tailored tour was a success. Our Noto tours have become very popular and with feedback like this I'm sure they will stay that way. Thanks again for taking the time to plan this with me. We are proud to be in your top Japan memories.
