Visite en vélo électrique de l'autoroute Transfagarasan et du lac Balea
Description
Nous allons commencer à vélo à basse altitude sur un petit marché d'où nous aurons une vue magnifique sur le mont Fagaras et la cascade Balea. Après quelques kilomètres, nous entrerons dans la route de montagne la plus intéressante construite en Roumanie dans les années du communisme. Les vues affichées pendant le voyage sont incroyables, les montagnes qui entourent le chemin montrent leurs sommets majestueux pendant tout le trajet. Nous verrons en montant, beaucoup plus près de nos yeux, la cascade de Balea et après un moment nous atteindrons le sommet à l'altitude 2034 où un marché paysan et le célèbre lac Balea seront exposés. Après avoir visité tous les points touristiques intéressants, une descente pleine d'adrénaline vers le point de départ suivra. Veuillez noter que pendant l'hiver, le transport vers le lac est possible uniquement en téléphérique.

Itinéraire
Nous allons faire du vélo le long de la plus belle autoroute creusée dans la montagne des Carpates, entre les sommets des montagnes. Nous commencerons à pédaler à partir de 497 m d'altitude et nous arriverons à 2034 m d'altitude où nous verrons défiler devant nos yeux le magnifique lac Balea.
Le lac glaciaire de Balea est situé à 2034 m d’altitude et est un endroit étonnant visité par tous ceux qui traversent les montagnes Fagaras sur la célèbre route Transfagarasan. Sur le chemin du lac Balea, nous nous arrêterons également pour voir la cascade de Balea.

Lieux et horaires de prise en charge
Le point de prise en charge se trouve devant l'hôtel Capitol (parking) de Brasov. Vous pouvez entrer l'adresse de votre propre logement à Brasov et - si possible - je viendrai vous chercher à cet endroit. Je peux également venir vous chercher à la gare de Fagaras le matin - message 1 à 2 jours avant le jour de la visite, s'il vous plaît.

Andrew is a fabulous man to spend the day with. He arranged to collect us from hotel and then drove us from Brasov to the point where you can start the climb. This is not from the very bottom of climb but gives you a 13 km climb. The cars and motorbikes are respectful of cyclists and his bikes are really good. He shares insights into life in Romania during the transfer. Thank you Andrei
Andrei our guide was amazing!! He picked us up at or location and we drove to the mountains. The e-bikes were incredible and well maintained. The e-bikes made the ride wonderful and very doable up the somewhat steep climb. We stopped for hot chocolate, coffee and tea at the peak of the mountain which overlooked the Balea Lake. We proceeded down the Transfagarasan Highway which was incredibly exhilarating. I highly recommend this tour as it is a tour of a lifetime!!
Andrei was an incredible tour guide. Very informative on the country/region. Tour date was on October 8, but due to heavy snowfall Andrei offered to move it to the next day. It was the first heavy snowfall of the year and unusually early, so the road was closed to cars, meaning we had the road to ourselves. We had to walk the last 2-3km with our bikes because the snow was too deep. Andrei offered to stay with the bikes whilst I go up to the lake. However, we both persisted despite the cold and low visibility conditions. A well-deserved meal and hot drink was consumed once at the lake. The downhill trip was much easier and the clouds had started to clear up, offering incredible views! Andrei was also able to drop me off at the bus station on the way back. Many thanks Andrei. An incredible experience and I hope to come back one day.
Last summer I've done Route 66 and now couldn't resist Transfagarasan!! Started off early from Brasov and it was 50 minutes before we joined the drive down Cartisoara to Curtea de Arges. What a drive!! Unfortunately I had a miserable kid in the backseat who got alive only when he came across the Bears on the road - we've counted more than a dozen! I've thoroughly enjoyed the drive - just fabulous. Ignore the whining kids, just go for it, it's once in a lifetime you'll get to drive down the Transfagasaran!!
Andrei was an excellent guide. It was rainy and cold and we sadly didn’t get to see much but it was still an excellent day!

Absolutely breathtaking adventure! Andrei was a very good guide and told is a lot about the country and culture during the drive to the tour. He took pictures from us and gave good advices! I highly recommend this adventure! It‘s totally worth it!
Amazing day trip with a brilliant and informative guide. The equipment was of the highest quality. It was a very memorable trip and great fun on the e bikes. A great, fun and safe way of seeing the incredible Transfagarasan.
This was definitely a highlight of my Romania trip! Top bikes, amazing organisation, and Andrei is a wonderful guide. I can only recommend this to experience the Transfagarasan! Any fitness level can do this tour.
That was such a beautiful experience. I can only recommend it. If you are in the area, contact Andrei and he will show you the most beautiful places. Communication beforehand was uncomplicated and quick, Andrei picked me up at the agreed point and had a nice chat on the car ride, showed me and explained lots of things, super pleasant. He speaks great English! I was a little worried that the e-bike tour would be too demanding for me (I'm not unfit but I don't do any other sport) but it was super relaxed driving up there. Andrei always made me feel safe. The view is simply breathtaking and probably so much better than from behind a car window. The descent was also great fun! Thank you! Best day in Romania!
