Great tour which gave us a terrific understanding of Helsinki and Finland. There was more walking than I expected but Emek, our guide, was very flexible. It was great having a small group (3)
Emek was very friendly and a very informative guide.. He showed us certain neighbourhoods that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise.. We loved the park that had an amazing view from the top of the hill and also the fact that it was covered in snow and people were skiing.. Then we went to the best library we have ever seen.. We were very impressed.. Having Emek showing us Helsinki was like being with a close friend.. Thank you for your hospitality..
Emek was absolutely amazing in providing our small group with such phenomenal informative information about Helsinki and Finland couples with his TRUE PASSION for his city and country--A++++!!!! We have traveled extensively world wide and using Viator often and Emek truly was a gem of an experience for both my husband and I today!!!
Emek was very knowledgeable and spoke clearly and with passion. His explanation of the history of Finland was easy to following as well as very interesting.
Our guide was called Emek and we had a great tour. Emek was very informative and we learnt so much about Helsinki and Finland. We went to places that are not the normal places you would go to as a tourist. The tour was so different but we absolutely loved it. We loved that we got to go to Helsinki Central Library. We walked and we used the tram. Emek purchased a 24hr travel card for each of us. If you are visiting Helsinki for a few days I highly recommend doing this tour you will not be disappointed.
I booked the tram tour with Emek last week and it was terrific. I learned about the history of the city, saw some of the significant sites and travelled by tram to a few neighbourhoods that were a bit further away from the city centre. We also stopped at a local cafe which was a nice break. Emek was a wonderful guide who answered any questions I had and since we had a small group, the tour felt quite personal. It was great to have the opportunity to someone living in the city. I was also able to use the day ticket to travel later that day by metro and tram. This was fantastic and I would recommend it!
Emek was engaging and the tour was different to what we usually do, hop-on-off. Helsinki was very easy to get around and definitely should do this tour on day 1. Mother Nature was great too and our day was clear and "sunny".
Not your average tour, very educational in understanding the history of the city. Great use of public transport and incredible public library.
We had the real pleasure to join the tram tour with Emek this August. The tour was definitive one of our highlights during visiting Finland, Sweden, and other countries of the Baltic Sea. Emek gave us remarkably interesting insights into life, culture, and history of Finland and Helsinki. Emek will guide you to remarkable places and show you also the beauty of the buildings and places that Helsinki can provide to you. And we will never forget the visit of the central library in Helsinki - not only because of its architecture, but also because of the wise concept behind it (be surprised, what Emek can tell you about it). Also because of the wonderful experience made with the tram tour we fell in love with Finland and Helsinki. We plan to return to Helsinki in near future. And if we arrive, we will surely book Emek for another tour! So, join Emek and let hin guide you through Helsinki. Helsinki and Finland are far more than (the great band) "Nightwish" (this is an insider for Emek :-) ).
The gentleman hosting the tour is super funny, nerdy and ensures every query of how Finnish people live their life in and all about Finland gets resolved. My trip to Helsinki honestly couldn't have been more memorable without him because he goes above and beyond to make sure you have the most of your trip. To be precise, I asked him about nature soaked spots which are noteworthy truly and not just touristy spots. He texted me all the cool spots along with restaurants where I can experience the Nordic spirit. In addition, the day trip pass is an extra bonus which you can utilize for travelling throughout the city whether it be ferry to island or tram to your accomodation. I would definitely recommend to join the tour which he gives at a competitive price.
