Description
La visite du Frantoio Rosso Ipogeo donne la sensation de faire un voyage dans le temps : d'abord lorsque les Pouilles étaient submergées par la mer jusqu'au siècle dernier, lorsque l'huile d'olive était produite. L'itinéraire part de l'observation de fossiles marins enchâssés dans la roche calcaire et traverse les siècles de la fin du Moyen Âge, lorsque l'huile lampante était produite et exportée vers l'Europe. Nous comprendrons les phases de production et les équipements utilisés à l'époque, puis conclurons avec la dernière période de l'huilerie, lorsque la production était transformée de lampes et d'huile lampante en huile alimentaire.

Very, very small. Guided tour with headphones in 10 minutes. There were some nice pictures and a person. A good picture of how things used to go.
So much more than we expected! We appreciated the owner's hard work and research to restore this underground oil mill into a museum. We especially enjoyed his passion for sharing the history with others. The olive oil tasting experience was educational and so delicious!
Great little tour and olive oil tasting at the end. The owner has great passion for olive oil and the making of it. If we were staying longer we would have gone to one of the evenings music events. Nice small tour size.
A beautiful way to bring back to life an old underground crusher. Let yourself be transported by the words of Giuseppe and Samantha in a hidden world that smells of truth and sacrifice and the final tasting teaches us to understand and recognize the different characteristics of 'oil. The tour was booked in German, the guide speaks only English. and Italian. He was trying very hard but unfortunately not what we had booked
