Our guide, Emilio was wonderful! Full of knowledge. The wine tasting was really good. The landscapes and history were great.
We had a great day with Emilio, he collected us from our apartment as agreed and we spent the day in Alberobello, Locorotondo and wine tasting in a lovely vineyard. Emilio was very knowledgeable on both towns and had organised a visit to a Trullo with some Local Liquor tastings which were delicious. The vineyard we visited was really lovely and we got to taste 5 wines and got a tour of the vineyard. Emilio also organised a lovely local lunch in Locortondo. I would definitely recommend the tour.
We had a great time today with Emilio exploring & hearing about the history of Alberobello & Locorotondo. We enjoyed walking through the trulli and meeting Mino at his shop inside a trulli he is 5th generation to own. Then we went to a winery for a great tasting. Next stop lunch and a walk through Locorotondo. It was a great way to see and hear about more villages in the area
Emilo was able to tell us a lot about the cities we visited, but it wasn't so long-winded that it kept us focused. So it was really nice to listen to him! There was plenty to do throughout the day, but we didn't have to rush, which was still nice. Plus, plenty of food and drinks are provided, making it really worth the money. At the vineyard, you get a fair number of wine glasses to taste, and afterward, you get a fully catered lunch. You can also buy bottles of wine at the vineyard for a reasonable price or have them shipped home.
We booked this tour because we’d hired a car in Puglia before and found driving/navigating/parking quite stressful. This was the complete opposite - an absolutely relaxing way to experience the countryside of the Valle d’Itria. Our guide Emilio was incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about the area, and ensured we had a fantastic day. Visiting Alberobello first thing in the morning meant that we got to see the town at its best. The visit to the trullo where we tasted local liqueurs and chilli products was great fun, and we got fantastic views over the town. The wine tour in the countryside was lovely - I recommend the white wine in particular! And a special shout out to the winery cat who followed us around :) The next stop was Locorotundo and I’m so glad we got to visit this pretty little town. Again, Emilio’s historical knowledge and enthusiasm really added to the visit. The vegetarian lunch option at a local restaurant was excellent, and a nice added touch was a coffee and local apple dessert in a bar in the town’s main square. We had a really great time and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour. Yes, it would be cheaper to hire a car, but you would miss all the local stories and context that Emilio gave us. His pride in his local area was infectious! Such a memorable end to our holiday in Puglia.
Fantastic tour of Alberobello, Angelo was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Wine tour was excellent, informative. Wine and aperitifs were delicious. The afternoon alert apertivo in Locorotondo was an amazing way to cap off the day! Would highly recommend this tour
Emilio was very knowledgeable and considerate of our needs. Lovely wine tasting and lunch as well. Very highly recommend!
Visiting Puglia soon? Look no further than Apulian Experience! Emilio allowed us to completely customize a full day, 8 hour tour of the Valle D'Itria in Puglia where my wife and I were picked up at our hotel and got so much more than just a full tour of the valley. We go to experience: a wine tasting, fresh cheese tasting, focaccia tasting, coffee by the sea, AND 3 different town walking tours full of history and culture. Our tour guide Emilio and his colleague, whose name escapes me, were absolutely fantastic with not only catering our every need but actively suggesting what to do next and where to go. We had long conversations about wine, life, Puglia's history past, present and future and by the end it felt like we were hanging out with friends of ours, not tour guides we just met. The BEST way to LIVE the Puglia experience is with those who know it best and Emilio knows it best. I give 5 stars because it will not allow me to give 6. What are you waiting for people!? Book right away!!!!
The tour was very good. Angelo our guide was very informative and personable and considerate of our needs. As a local he was intune with the 2 towns visited and he was also a sommelier so could talk with knowledge about wines. Overall great value and great day. Frank Taranto
Angelo was a fantastic guide. He was so friendly and knowledgeable about everything we saw during our day out. The vineyard tour and wine tasting were a revelation as we actually enjoyed the white wines! It was a great day out during our stay in Ostuni. Would highly recommend to anyone.
