It was a very good experience! Ardi generates a lot of confidence and cares about all the details. I told him I wanted to see Buddhist temples and he took me on a special tour that included a monastery where you could go meditating. If you will travel again I would contact you to arrange a tour again.
Thank you so much to have your best review in JavaBaliTrips page
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Mr Andri! He knew right what the best for me. One day if go back to Yogyakarta, i want Mr Andri! You're the best! 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
I want to start by saying that Ardi and his team really contributed to improving our trip in Yogyakarta, making the time there amazing ! He recommended us lots of food to try, all the good places, and the best tips to enjoy our journey as much as possible ! We really spent such a good time with him, discovering the Indonesian way of life, and knowledge, and learning some Javanese words too :) ! (During the trip, he even brought us water, rain jackets and suncream because we forgot it :) ) ! Thank you for your time, your patience and the amazing memories we made there ! See you
Ardi was a great friend and super flexible. The sunrise was magical and there were only three other people.
Booking via Tripadvisor was straightforward. We were provided with Ardi's local number and got in touch with him once we were in Jogja. Ardi was friendly, patient, accommodating and had a lot of local information and tips to share with us. We organised an additional 2 days with Ardi directly after the sunrise and temple tour. He provided great recommendations and places for souvenirs and local eateries too. Highly recommend!
During our trip to yogyakarta, we spend one day with Ardi. We started our day by watching the sunrise at the bottom of the Merapi Volcano and visiting the ricefields and Selogriyo-Temple (hinduistic temple of a village) afterwards. We enjoyed both countrysides a lot, especially due to their tranquility. After a view days in the busy city, we were able to calm down, enjoying the absence of other tourists as well as the calm and mindful companionship of Ardi. Ardi himself is a trustworthy and open-hearted, respectful guide and person, with an earthed character. The communication with Ardi to plan our tour was really easy and transparent. He informed us about everything in advance and gave us additional recommendations for the trip. Just easy and eager to make the trip as good as possible for us. He has a wide knowledge about culture and religion which he is keen to share. Even though our tour started early at 3.30am and we were really tired, we bonded with Ardi the first minute. Especially getting in touch during the ride to the sunset-viewing-point was magical. If we have the chance to come to yogyakarta again, we will contact Ardi again, maybe just to meet - as friends or good acquaintances do :)
I didn't really know what to expect when we were informed that we would be picked up at 3.30am from our apartment and I assumed that it might take us 2 hours to get to the site, but when we arrived there after just an hour on the road, my partner and I felt like we could have enjoyed an extra hour of sleep and still have made it in time for the sunrise, which only happens at about 5.30 - 5.45am. Having said that, the view itself is lovely especially because you get to bask in the cool morning air and watch the sun come up, it does take some climbing to get to the hilltop but it was manageable and all the people working there are helpful and friendly. The tour at Mount Merapi was enjoyable for me but my partner was slightly disappointed because he thought we would get to visit the base of the volcano but we didn't get that opportunity. We definitely had fun in the Jeep, splashing about and feeling the wind in our hair! Managed to take some wonderful photos and learned a lot about the villagers and people who lost their homes during the eruptions & explosions, there are a few museums with genuine artefacts so if you're into history, you can opt for that at Mount Merapi itself. All in all, I had a great time and I'd recommend it for couples and groups of friends but maybe not so much for families with young children.
Amazing experience from start to finish! The guide, Taufun, was fantastic and because of him our experience was perfect. 💛 Worth every single penny and more! 💛 Highly recommend! 💛
We've had an amazing fun day with Ardi, visiting a viewpoint near the Merapi Volcano, Borobudur & Prambanan temples, and also did a luwak coffee and fruits tasting and learned about the Java culture and music. It was a super fun day, well organized by Ardi and he had a lot of stories about the places we've visited. Also, we were the only tourists which were at the viewpoint by sunrise, so that was a magical experience. As a bonus, Ardi even helped us the day after to arrange other activities in Java and transport to Bali. Thanks for everything Ardi! We can recommend Ardi to everyone!
I had a fantastic guide called Ardi who was very communicative, organized, and insightful and provided great recommendations for someone who was traveling in Indonesia for the first time. He took me to additional great places that was not on the itinerary like Prambanan Temple, a local fruit stand where I tried salak (a traditional fruit) and Pawon Luwak Coffee where I had the best cup of coffee that I ever had! Because of the itinerary and my amazing guide, I had a very authentic and amazing experience travelling Yogyakarta. THANK YOU.
