Cette visite qui sera dirigée par un guide expérimenté vous emmènera dans un voyage pour démêler et exposer l'ère et les activités de la traite des esclaves et l'impact qu'elle a eu sur les Noirs. De plus, les voyageurs pourront profiter du paysage et de la beauté du parc national de Kakum avec le pont à baldaquin suspendu comme principal centre d'attraction. Itinéraire
Notre guide vous emmènera d'abord visiter le château de Cape Coast. Le château de Cape Coast était un poste de traite sur la côte ouest-africaine dans la nation moderne du Ghana. Il se trouve à quelques kilomètres seulement d'un autre château d'esclaves construit par les Portugais à Elmina à la fin du XVe siècle. Construit à l'origine par la Suède dans les années 1650, le château de Cape Coast est passé aux possessions danoise, néerlandaise puis anglaise dans les années 1660. Au cours des premières décennies du château, le commerce tournait autour de l'or, du bois et des textiles avant que les marchands anglais ne commencent à chercher des Africains captifs en grand nombre.
Nous visiterons le parc national de Kakum. Niché dans la réserve d'Assin Attandanso, le parc national de Kakum et la passerelle de la canopée offrent aux visiteurs des paysages spectaculaires et une expérience fascinante de la faune ainsi que des installations de camping modernes. La caractéristique la plus connue du parc est sans aucun doute ses 7 ponts suspendus qui forment une passerelle à canopée de 333 mètres de long, suspendue jusqu'à 27 mètres au-dessus du sol de la forêt à des arbres de plus de 300 ans.

Wonderful. Patrick was a great tourguide. I was the only one on the tour. He made me feel welcome and gave me insights into the country and the sights. I've been to Ghana several times, but never to these two places. Patrick did everything he possibly could to make me feel welcome. Even helped me bargain for purchases and going out of his way to make things comfortable, to slake my curiosity about what I was seeing, and to show me things that I would not otherwise have noticed. The road to Cape Coast is under construction, and it takes an extra hour these days to get there. Patrick made the time pass quickly--and negotiated the difficult temporary road with great expertise. He was a little late picking me up, and I was concerned that somehow he had the wrong address--because I myself gave the address a bit late. Not to worry. Not only did he arrive 10 minutes after my concern started (traffic...) but also the main office replied to my anxious email within three minutes--at 6:00 AM! Excellent service. Tour guide and tour company were great. Kakum Park require good physical conditioning as there is a steep climb up multiple steps. Canopy walk could be a challenge if one is afraid of heights. Cape Coast castle was very emotional for me a descendant of enslaved Africans.
