Cette visite de 3 heures vous fera découvrir les magnifiques paysages et paysages de Victoria, en plus du centre-ville, près du port intérieur de la ville. Explorez les monuments historiques en suivant votre guide local. Les arrêts comprennent le Royal BC Museum, l'hôtel Fairmont Empress, Chinatown, Victoria's Heritage Mansions et plusieurs magasins, ainsi qu'une visite guidée du château de Craigdarroch. L'entrée à l'intérieur du château n'est PAS incluse dans le prix de la visite. Il s'agit d'une visite extérieure uniquement. Les voyageurs souhaitant visiter l’intérieur peuvent acheter des billets sur place. Les visiteurs PEUVENT devoir marcher deux pâtés de maisons de Fort Street jusqu'au château en raison des fermetures de circulation locales dans ce quartier résidentiel. *Actuellement, la disponibilité des visites à l'intérieur du château est limitée et cela est sujet à changement par la Castle Heritage Society.

Explorez la belle ville de Victoria, connue pour ses sites historiques et ses paysages pittoresques. Votre visite de 3 heures commence par le ramassage à votre hôtel ou hébergement situé à Victoria. Après avoir rencontré votre chauffeur et votre guide, vous vous dirigerez vers le centre-ville, près du port intérieur de Victoria. Visitez le Royal British Columbia Museum, qui présente des artefacts, des galeries et des collections de l'histoire naturelle, moderne et humaine de la Colombie-Britannique. Ensuite, arrêtez-vous à l’hôtel Fairmont Empress, l’un des hôtels les plus anciens et les plus célèbres de Victoria. Avec son architecture de style château datant du début du siècle, l’hôtel est situé sur la rue Government, en face du port intérieur. Chinatown et le château de Craigdarroch sont d’autres arrêts de votre parcours. Victoria abrite le plus ancien quartier chinois du Canada et le deuxième plus ancien d'Amérique du Nord. Écoutez votre guide alors qu'il raconte l'histoire et la culture de ce quartier. Ensuite, arrêtez-vous au château de Craigdarroch, un manoir écossais du baronial de l’ère victorienne, érigé en 1890 comme résidence du riche baron du charbon Robert Dunsmuir et de sa famille. Ensuite, promenez-vous tranquillement dans les mêmes jardins que la reine lors de votre visite à Government House, la patrie de la royauté lors de leurs visites. Vous vous aventurez ensuite dans les quartiers d'Oak Bay et finirez votre visite par un voyage panoramique sur Marine Drive, en passant devant le magnifique parc Beacon Hill. Votre voyage se termine par une visite guidée du château de Craigdarroch. Ce manoir écossais baronnial de l'ère Victoria est l'un des monuments les plus anciens et les plus appréciés de Victoria. La visite traversera les 25 000 pieds carrés de cette demeure seigneuriale historique de 30 chambres et exposera le mobilier somptueux authentique des années 1890, ainsi que les vitraux et les boiseries de renommée mondiale.

We were a parry of four adults. We thought this was the very best city tour we could have taken. Our guide, Michael, was wonderful. He's knowledgeable about the history of Victoria, as well as interesting cultural topics. We felt very comfortable talking about a wide variety of local topics with him as we toured much more of the city than we ever expected. We definitely recommend this tour!

Richard was very knowledgable and took us throughout the city. We got a nice view of multiple parts of the city and learned about a lot of the history of the community.

Our tour guide Richard was very knowledgable and took us to some great photo stops. Viator sold us this tour saying that we could visit and TOUR the castle - the representative I was chatting with online, although helpful, sold me the tour irregardless of the castle being open or not. I had explained that my cruise company had cancelled my tour to the castle with NO explanation…when we arrived at the castle with Richard, we found out that the castle is not open on Mondays and Tuesdays. The Viator customer service rep should have known this. The castle was the only thing personally I was interested in. Poor Show Viator. We also had to get a taxi from our cruise ship to an unknown hotel as the tour company was said to only pick up in town. But Richard even offered to drop us back at the dock without us even asking! All the negative here is on Viator, not the tour company that toured my party of 6. This was great value for money, compared to the cruise ship offerings and I would highly recommend this tour company to anyone. (If you are going to tour the castle, you have to pay and that is not included in the cost of the tour, but this was still $30 cheaper than my cruise ship offered with the added personal expense of paying for entry to the castle (we were a party of 6). Four adults and two awesome teenagers. So to recap - Richard was great, tour company was great Viator was NOT great.
I am sorry that the experience had its challenges. Richard is an excellent guide and I am glad he was able to make the best of the situation.

I planned the Ovation of the Seas Cruise trip for me and my husband, my brother & girlfriend and my aunt & uncle. The tour description lead me to believe we would get to see the gardens and tour the castle (the TWO things we wanted to do). Our driver drove past the castle and said it was closed (I couldn’t see it because it was on the opposite side of the van as I was sitting and then he said the gardens were too far to go. Said it would take 30 min to get there and 30 min to get back and we had to have 90 min to see it, so we didn’t go). Then he proceeded to drive us around the city for 2 1/2 hrs (which would have been enough time) with very little historical information and not much of any other info. Also people in the back seat couldn’t hear him (none of us could hear him well). Totally wasted our time in Victoria. So sad that we got NOTHING out of the tour except a boring ride around town. I have used Viator many times in the past and always had great experiences and never a complaint but this was a total bust ☹️ I would actually like my money back. He was a nice enough guy but it was not up to Viator’s usual excursion/tour experience.

The late arriving ships are challenging. We like to show off our city however the darkness and closed shops limit what we can do. We wish the ships would consider Victoria as a destination and not just an add on
