Le vol 111 de Swissair (SR111/SWR111) était un vol international régulier de transport de passagers entre l'aéroport international John F. Kennedy de New York, aux États-Unis, et l'aéroport de Cointrin à Genève, en Suisse. Le vol était également un vol en partage de code avec Delta Air Lines. Le 2 septembre 1998, le McDonnell Douglas MD-11 effectuant ce vol, immatriculé HB-IWF, s'est écrasé dans l'océan Atlantique au sud-ouest de l'aéroport international Stanfield d'Halifax, à l'entrée de la baie St. Margarets, en Nouvelle-Écosse. Le lieu de l'accident se trouvait à 8 kilomètres (5 mi ; 4 nmi) du rivage, à peu près à égale distance des petites communautés de pêcheurs et de touristes de Peggy's Cove et de Bayswater, tuant les 229 passagers et membres d'équipage à bord du MD-11, faisant de cet accident l'accident le plus meurtrier de l'histoire de Swissair et l'accident le plus meurtrier impliquant le McDonnell Douglas MD-11. Il s'agit également du deuxième accident d'aviation le plus meurtrier à se produire au Canada, derrière le vol 1285R d'Arrow Air.

Zuber was a wonderful tour guide! He took us to Peggy’s Cove with some stops along the way and back for photo ops and Titanic grave site. He goes the extra mile for sure to make sure you are comfortable and taken care of! He even took pictures of us so we were able to have pics together!! I highly reccomend this tour company and Zuber!!

This was a great experience. Our driver was friendly and accommodating. It was great to have a private car for a nice drive through the country side after being on the cruise ship surrounded by lots of people. He shared information about the area as we made the trip to Peggy's Cove and answered any questions. He asked us about the temperature in the car, if we wanted to stop for coffee, or listen to music. We had time to walk around the lighthouse and explore some of the shops at Peggy's Cove. Then we stopped at the Swiss flight memorial. He provided umbrellas and took photos for us. Then back to Halifax to visit one of the cemeteries where Titanic passengers were buried. Afterwards he offered to take us back to the ship or drop us downtown. We have visited Halifax several times and never left the downtown area, this tour was great to see much more of the area, including homes, lakes, and the ocean. I would highly recommend this if you are interested in more of a local flavor!

It was best to arrange with Viator (provided by Amman tours) than take a cruise bus to Peggy's Cove. Mr.Bractic was a wonderful guide!!

The tour guide Ali, was fabulous but he was not given the correct information. We booked Peggy’s Cove, the Swiss air flight memorial, and the Titanic cemetery. When my friends took the trip, the Tour guide was under the impression it was just Peggy‘s Cove and back to the ship. They had to ask about the Swiss air flight and the driver said he could do it, but it was in the opposite direction so they said just take us to the Titanic cemetery. When there the driver was not allowed to go in the cemetery, so dropped off at the gateOn our past tours in Halifax have been much more well organized. But again the guide was a very accommodating young man.

Serene car ride with good historical information from our driver on the way!! The scenery was beautiful and there is more than plenty of time at Peggy’s Cove and having a lobster roll also!! We arrived in plenty of time to enjoy Garrisons Brewery in the port before boarding! Highly recommend and the price is right!!
