Fantastic experience

Very nice experience! Our guide was super nice and knowledgeable. She made sure to give us a thorough picture of each place’s history, geography, and culture, before giving us plenty of time to explore on our own. There was free drinking water provided. The ride was super safe and smooth, thanks to our guide’s school bus driving experience!

Tour to Peggy’s Cove, Lunenberg and Fairfield cemetery

Great tour. Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg were beautiful and seeing the titanic graves was very moving. Our tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

An ok tour

The tour is great but it’s more like a taxi service to get from one place to the next. Our guide spoke very little and some of the things he said about Halifax and its history were incorrect. Still, very convenient to get to Peggy’s cove and Lunenberg.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed visiting Peggy’s Cove,Lunenburg and Titanic Cemetery. We were, however, a little surprised by your comments. Our tours are designed to give guests time to enjoy each destination at their own pace while also providing commentary during the drive. Many guests actually appreciate this balance rather than a microphone that’s on from start to finish. We also take the accuracy of the information we share very seriously. If there was something you believe was incorrect, we’d genuinely appreciate knowing what it was, as our guides rely on well-established local history and are continually trained. We always welcome the opportunity to learn—although Nova Scotia hasn’t changed its history overnight (at least not that we’re aware of! 😉). While we respect that everyone has different expectations, describing the experience as “more like a taxi service” doesn’t reflect the experience of the vast majority of our guests. In fact, several other guests who traveled on the same tour left 5-star reviews praising the guide’s knowledge, professionalism, and storytelling, so it’s clear experiences can differ from person to person. Thank you for traveling with Alpha Travel & Tours. We wish you and your family safe and happy travels!

Trip

Wish we were able to make more stops, was alot of driving. Would be better if driving was able to pick up/ drop at our hotel to save taxi fares

Réponse de l'opérateur

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you joined us. We agree there was a fair bit of driving—but unless someone figures out how to move Peggy's Cove a little closer to Lunenburg, we're working with Nova Scotia's geography! 😄 The driving times are part of the advertised itinerary so guests can experience these iconic destinations in one day. Regarding pickup, your hotel was outside our downtown pickup zone. We tried reaching you by both message and phone beforehand but didn't hear back, so we met you at our common meeting point. On the return, we even dropped you at the Barrington Hotel to help save you a taxi fare, so we like to think we earned at least half a star back! 😉 Thanks again for traveling with Alpha Travel & Tours, and we wish you many more great adventures!

Just Ok

Peggy’s cove was a unique and fantastic experience. Lunenburg did not live up to the hype. Cemetery should not have been included. Guide was very informative but a little too much information.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed Peggy’s Cove and found the tour informative. The Titanic Cemetery is one of the advertised stops on this tour and is included because many of our guests consider it a meaningful part of Nova Scotia’s history. If history isn’t your cup of tea, we do offer other tours that focus on different experiences. As for the commentary, this might be the first time we’ve been told there was too much information! 😊 Most of our guests actually tell us they love the stories and local history shared along the way, but we understand everyone has their own preferences. Thank you for traveling with Alpha Travel & Tours, and we wish you all the best on your future adventures.

We spent so much time in...

We spent so much time in a vehicle seeing very little. Peggy’s Cove was nice, Lunnenberg was nice but we only had time to ear due to an accident. Our tour guide was very friendly but she never stopped talking.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg, and that you found Agnes friendly. For the benefit of future travelers, we’d like to add a little context. The driving time between each destination is approximately one hour, as outlined in our itinerary. On the day of your tour, an accident caused unexpected traffic delays. To ensure everyone made it back to the cruise ship before its 3:30 PM departure, we reduced the Lunenburg stop by only 15 minutes. While we understand you would have liked more time, our first priority is always making sure our cruise guests return safely and on time. We’d also like to mention that Agnes is one of our most highly rated guides, consistently praised for her knowledge, storytelling, and enthusiasm. We understand that everyone has different preferences, but many of our guests consider her commentary one of the highlights of the tour. Thank you again for your feedback, and we wish you safe and happy travels.

It’s about an hour to...

It’s about an hour to Peggy’s Cove, an hour there, another hour to Lunenburg, two hours there, about 45 mins to the Titanic Cemetery, 15 mins there and then about 15 mins back to the drop off area. Agnes was great - lots of cool history and facts to learn about. The van is small but fits 12 people. Wish we had more time at Peggy’s Cove. With how much you get to see and learn about, and the fact it’s a smaller tour, I think the price is worth it.
