VISITE DE LA JUNGLE EN FAMILLE: Trek d'Orang-outan (randonnée de 4 heures) par EcoTravel Bukit Lawang

Au cours de ce court trek dans la jungle, vous avez une grande chance de voir des orangs-outans de Sumatra et d'autres animaux sauvages ainsi qu'une grande variété de plantes et d'insectes. Dans la matinée à 10h30, notre guide anglophone viendra vous chercher à votre maison d'hôtes à Bukit Lawang. Ensuite, votre groupe commencera votre randonnée à travers la forêt tropicale dense en passant par des points de vue panoramiques inoubliables surplombant toute la vallée, la rivière Bohorok et le village de Bukit Lawang. Vers la fin de votre randonnée, vous arriverez au pied de Bukit Lawang et serez ramenés à votre maison d'hôtes vers 15h00. Ne prenez que des photos, ne laissez que des empreintes de pas, ne tuez que du temps. C'est le mantra de nos circuits de trekking avec l'intention de ne rien laisser de non organique derrière. - Chaussures de marche confortables ou bonnes chaussures de sport, petit sac à dos de 15 à 20 litres, pantalon long et t-shirt aux couleurs naturelles, chaussettes longues, insectifuge, crème solaire.
- À Bukit Lawang, il n'y a pas de distributeurs automatiques de billets! Veuillez vous assurer d'avoir suffisamment d'argent avec vous! En tant que service exclusif à nos clients, nous changeons également les euros et proposons le paiement par carte de crédit (Mastercard et Visa / 3% de charge) dans notre bureau EcoTravel.
- Il y a une RENCONTRE AVEC VOTRE ÉQUIPE DE GUIDE UN JOUR AVANT LE DÉBUT DE LA VISITE à notre bureau d'excursions EcoTravel entre 15h00 et 19h00, où vous recevrez des informations essentielles et une introduction à votre randonnée dans la jungle à partir du lendemain matin. Assurez-vous d'être à Bukit Lawang à temps! N'oubliez pas que depuis l'aéroport de Medan, le transfert vers la jungle prend environ 4,5 heures, donc plus vous arrivez tard, plus vous arriverez à Bukit Lawang. Nous vous recommandons de choisir votre hébergement près de nos chalets / bureaux EcoTravel pour cette nuit. Votre randonnée dans la jungle EcoTravel commence à partir de notre base de Bukit Lawang à 11h00. Vous explorerez la jungle dans un petit groupe de 8 personnes maximum. Votre visite est limitée en taille et en nombre en raison de problèmes environnementaux.
- INFORMATION IMPORTANTE: La plupart du temps, vous verrez des orangs-outans lors de randonnées dans la jungle, mais il n'y a aucune garantie! Ces animaux vivent dans la nature et il est difficile de déterminer où ils se trouveront à tout moment de la journée. Mais tous les guides EcoTravel ont de nombreuses années d'expérience et notre équipe a une très bonne réputation à Bukit Lawang. Nous n'engageons pas de guides externes supplémentaires pour des raisons de sécurité pour nos clients. Nos quelques guides EcoTravel bien informés et enthousiastes sont des habitants de cette région, parlent anglais, ont une excellente connaissance des plantes et des animaux - et sont tous certifiés par l'ITGA-HPI (Association des guides touristiques d'Indonésie - Himpunan Pramuwisata Indonesia).

We did the one-day orangutan trekking with Sumatra Ecotravel, and it was absolutely incredible. Our guide, Pitit, was not only knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the jungle, but also deeply respectful of the environment and wildlife. His passion for conservation was clear in everything he did. Unlike some other guides we observed, who were feeding the orangutans (something that’s both harmful and irresponsible), Pitit and the team at Sumatra Ecotravel are strongly against this and make a real effort to protect the animals and their natural behavior. The trek itself was well organized, safe, and unforgettable. We felt completely immersed in the jungle, and seeing orangutans in their natural habitat—without disturbing them—was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. On top of that, when our children fell ill and we had to adjust our plans, the staff was incredibly understanding and flexible. They handled the situation with genuine care and even provided a refund without hesitation. That kind of service is rare and deeply appreciated. Sumatra Ecotravel is the real deal: ethical, professional, and passionate. Highly recommended for anyone who wants an authentic and responsible jungle experience in Bukit Lawang!
We were looking for an organization and found ECO-Travel, which completely organized us for a week on Sumatra. Of course, it was also about a jungle trek to the orangutans. Communication went very smoothly from the beginning and aligned with our wishes. All components of our travel transfers, accommodation, services- went perfectly, we no longer had to worry about anything on site. We would like to highlight the crew who looked after us in Bukit Lawang. We were the oldest participants at 61 and 58 years and always had a helping hand and a friendly smile from Hendra, Ewi and Tomino on the trek! Thanks to Ecotravel for the nice trip!
This jungle trek was an amazing experience!!! The jungle was beautiful and we saw a lot of monkeys and orangutan 🤩. The people were very kind and made it an unbelievable trip. I really recommend it! Great jungle experience, attentive Guide and quality service in view of the weather and wild conditions
We spent a fantastic time with the family (2 adults and 3 children aged 13, 11 and 7) in Bukit Lawang, the jungle tour (2days/1night) exceeded our expectations, we had many encounters with orangutans, macaques, punky monkeys, turtles...) However, you had to be reasonably sure of your steps as the ground was very softened by a thunderstorm during our tour. The care by Firman, Aouie and everyone else from Ecotravel was very caring and accommodating, we felt very comfortable. The accommodation at the lodge was very comfortable and clean, the breakfast excellent and rich. Also the hospitality during the tour was very rich and decidedly tasty. All in all, we can absolutely recommend Ecotravel!
What an amazing experience! The lodge is set on a river in Bukit Lawang and it is stunning. Breakfast was served during each morning we stayed in the lodge. Lunch and dinner was an easy walk away. The food provided on the trek was above and beyond our expectations. Seeing the wild orangutans in their native habitat will live with me for the rest of my life. Thank you Eco Travel team for the amazing experience! I don't recommend bringing small children. As you will be trekking through the jungle. We got caught in a thunderstorm and it became a pretty treacherous hike to the camp at that point. Definitely an awesome experience but I couldn't imagine having kids in the group.
We spent three wonderful days at Eco Travel Cottages Bukit Lawang. It was the absolute highlight of our Indonesia holiday. Everything worked out great, from airport pickup to our unforgettable shower jungle tour. Many thanks to our guides who accompanied us in the jungle. We saw a lot and had an unforgettable day. Me and my friend had 3 nights stay at EcoTravel in Bukit Lawang. We did the 2days trek into the jugle. We had a perfect experience with the nature and the great staff from EcoTravel! Would totally recommend the trip into the sumatran jungle. We've seen many orang-utans and other life in the jungle! Hendra, Ewi and Wawan and also the rest of the EcoTravel team really put effort in making the experience an outstanding one!
At 71, I am no longer the youngest. The guides brought me and my wife safely and close to the orange according to our abilities. My backpack with the heavy photographic equipment was carried by them in demanding terrain and we were safely led over difficult passages. In between we were spoiled with fresh fruit and a warm rice meal. It was an overwhelming experience. The privately run lodge is very lovingly an individually furnished. The sumptuous breakfast makes you fit for the day and after the excursions you can safely swim and refresh yourself in the river.
One of the most amazing days of my life! The guides were very concerned with our safety but were also smart and strategic to get us as close to the animals as possible without stressing the animals or being unsafe. I would recommend them to anyone. Very professional!
