Alejandro was so knowlegeable and interesting. Friendly and easy going. Great day!
Very impressed with the pride and knowledge of Alejandro of his neighborhood. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Basilica
Alejandro was such an interesting guide. I enjoyed every minute of the tour. It was the highlight of my trip.
Efrain was an excellent tour guide. If you are looking for an in depth tour of the Basilica and Our Lady of Guadalupe, this is the one for you. Ours was a private tour, so Efrain was very accommodating if we needed to rest, use restrooms or stop at shops. We are very pleased with our experience!
The Tripadvisor Team was easy to communicate with. Initially, my flight was scheduled to arrive at 9:15 am and and our Basílica tour was scheduled to start at 10:00 am. I found out that my hotel was 13 miles away from the Basilica and wouldn't make it on time. I contacted Tripadvisor to find out if we could adjust the start time in the event we couldn't make it on time. They informed me that they would contact the local guide and let me know. Within the hour, I received a response that my tour could be delayed until 11:00 am. This message was followed up by our in-country personal guide. She introduced herself (Yaravi) and made herself available for any questions or concerns we might have. On 24 May, we arrived at 8:20 am, and our travel agency driver was willing to take us directly to the Basílica, which got us there at 9:15 am. At 9:30 am, I contacted our tour guide, Yaravi, who obviously was caught off guard but was willing to meet us immediately. Yaravi is an amazing young lady. A psychologist and a walking encyclopedia of the history of the Virgin Mary of Guadalupe, the Basilica and surrounding property, and Mexico City. She was very informative, but most importantly, she made us feel like best friends that she hadn't seen in a long time and wanted us to learn Mexico City's amazing history and the influence of Christianity in her life. I recommend her 100%. Thank you, Yaravi and Tripadvisor.
Alejandro was an amazing Tour Guide! He gave us a very thorough tour of the Basilica of Guadalupe with excellent explanations of the history of the apparitions and the places we were seeing. Most important, he was very caring and understanding of my disability and arranged for wheelchair service. All in all we are completely happy with this tour, specially with our guide, Alejandro.
There is a lot of people there. You start early enough that you avoid a lot of the crowd. You will see lots of amazing stuff and Alejandro explains everything. You mo e from place to place and just don't stand in one location. Glad we did it.
Thank you, Juan! I’m glad you enjoyed the experience together.
You will lean much from Alejandro. Phenomenal history lesson about the country as well as the basilica. Wonderful day!
Thank you Mark! I Am glad you enjoy the tour.
Alejandro gave a great tour. He was very talkative and informational. He brought up lesser known facts of the shrine and the surrounding area. I found his knowledge of the artwork in the museum very enlightening. So if you are the type of person who wants to listen to a lot of good info then this tour is for you.
I'm very glad that I did this tour as Alejandro was fantastic. Excellent knowledge which he was able to share easily and moved at a good pace. I wouldn't have had the same appreciation and understanding without Alejandro. I thoroughly recommend this tour as it will make the experience so much more rewarding.
