From pick up till the end it was amazing! Our guide was very knowledgeable and determined to spot wildlife. We saw different kind of monkeys, sloths, butterflies and birds. My son especially loved it!

Must experience tour for your trip to Panama

It’s no wonder this is the top rated Panamá tour on Tripadvisor. Manolo, our guide, has been doing this tour twice a day for 22 years and it shows, we saw lots of moneys, a few sloths from a distance and other parts of nature between our boat ride and jungle walk. They provided us with some empanadas and pineapple. Highly recommend you take a tour with them during your visit.

Best tour ever!! Get your money’s worth

Totally beautiful experience!!! Guide was very verse in the different aspects of the tour and made sure we knew the details of each experience. He made in fun, informative and we saw sloths, three different types of monkeys, birds, bats and crocodiles. The boat captain was also great! Excellent driving and provided fruits to attract the monkeys to come close. 1000% recommend this tour with Enrique and the gang. ❤️❤️

Great!

It was wonderful - saw lots of monkeys and sloths and other animals! The boat ride also helped keep us cool on an otherwise hot and humid afternoon

Excellent Guide

Manolo Ruiz is an excellent guide. He went above and beyond to make the experience memorable including giving us a background in the history of Panama. The admission was also affordable and I can comfortably we got value for money which included hotel pickup and water. I was at first concerned that the tour would be long and crowned but the group was intimate and comfortable and we were back at the hotel by 11.

Safari-like experience; patience is necessary

This is a good option for people who love nature. For travelers like me who are interested in nature facts and nature adventures, but don't know a ton already, this will be right up your alley. I appreciated that the tour guide knew a fair amount and had an evident passion for the animals and their environment. Note: not everything that was said in Spanish was translated to English, which I appreciated, as it is appropriate for being in Panama. Some other things to know: 1. In addition to money for tips (there is a driver, boat captain, and tour guide), you need to bring $20 cash on the day of the tour as a motorboat service charge. 2. The day ends with a walk on a road through "the jungle." The road is paved with rocks. Sandles are not advised. Wear something sturdy for walking. That said, the walk is short and slow with lots of stops along the way. 3. During the walk you will learn a little about plants and animals, but the only animals you may see will be through a shared view in a single spotting scope. The guide will set it up in various locations as you walk, people will get in line, and you will have a few seconds each to take a look at whatever sloth, toucan, insect, etc. is in view. 4. Patience is required. Animals are unpredictable. Though the guide and boat driver will do their best to maximize your opportunity to see things, there may be a *lot* of waiting and you may or may not end up with something to see after any given wait. Try to just enjoy the surroundings. 5. The boat trip was a safari-like experience. The tour guide and boat captain work hard to coax the animals to come on the boat and interact. There are some ethics questions worth asking about this (though I appreciate the rules to address some of the issues), but in terms of the experience it can be very fun and exciting. Just remember: patience. It can take a very long time, for example, for some monkeys to decide they want to come interact. You may be in the boat waiting while the guide calls and calls and calls for them, then have to leave and return to the area multiple times. 6. I recommend bringing lots of water, sunscreen, and bugspray. Water will be offered but the heat will get to you. Make sure your bag securely as you will hear that the monkeys get curious. 7. If you get car sick easily, note that there are some winding roads to get there and back. 8. The boat taken is said to be the fastest of all the boats that go out on these tours. That also means that when you are jumping the waves, it will have an impact on your neck. I don’t recommend the tour as heartily to people who have a history of whiplash or get headaches easily. The animals I saw while on the boat included: several types of lizards and insects, two types of monkeys (both of which eventually climbed on board), a baby crocodile, a black hawk and other birds. The animals I saw briefly through the spotting scope on the walk included: a sloth, a toucan, and an invasive species of insect. We also briefly stopped to examine the leaf cutter ants and saw evidence of termites, woodpeckers, and scorpions.
