Grâce à ce tour - qui vous permettra de visiter deux perles de l'île - vous pourrez découvrir l'essence de la Sicile. Vous commencerez la visite par une randonnée indépendante le long des sentiers du parc de l'Etna et une fois terminée, vous vous arrêterez à Zafferana Etnea, la ville du miel : vous pourrez y déguster l'excellent miel local. Peu de temps après, vous partirez pour la belle Taormina. Situé sur un promontoire, d'ici vous pourrez profiter de splendides vues panoramiques ; il y a deux entrées qui mènent au centre-ville : Porta Catania et Porta Messina. Le long des rues médiévales de Taormina, chaque recoin sent la Sicile : vous pourrez déguster des plats typiques, acheter des souvenirs typiquement siciliens et observer la beauté de la mer. Vous pouvez choisir de visiter indépendamment le théâtre antique, principal monument de la ville, et la Villa Comunale, inspirée des jardins anglais et abritant une remarquable variété de plantes exotiques.

It is primarily a driver to two locations. Ours was also a helpful guide. Both sites are definitely worth going to.
We quickly realised that our driver was only that, a driver, not a tour guide. That was disappointing as we would have liked more info about both Mt Etna and Taormina. The Mt Etna experience was interesting and I am glad I have been, but obviously very crowded and commercialised. I should have done more research beforehand. We were then driven to Taormina and dropped off at Catania gate. This leads to a series of restaurants and shops very similar to that in Syracuse, where were based. Again, no explanation of history or geography and we were under prepared in that regard. Not interested in shopping!

We were fortunate enough to have nobody else join us in the day for the tour so benefitted from a private tour around Etna & Taormina. Amazing amazing experience. Tour guide (Marco) was patient, down to earth and spoke great English (hard to find around here). Took his time to explain every part of tour and allowed me the chance to explore when I could. Highly recommend!
