It was early but we beat the crowds. 100% worth getting up early. Tour was awesome. Guide was great. Highly recommend.
Hey Wendy, We couldn't agree more—that early morning wake-up call is 100% worth it when you get to beat the massive crowds and experience the Acropolis in peace! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that you had an awesome time and that your guide made the experience even more special. Thank you so much for the high recommendation and for sharing your great feedback with us! Warmly, Athens Walking Tours Team
We had an amazing tour of the Acropolis and were lucky to have Magdalini as our guide. She was excellent from start to finish. Very knowledgeable, well spoken, and passionate about the history of Athens and the Acropolis. We were one of the first groups to enter that morning, which made the experience even better and allowed us to enjoy everything before it became crowded, giving us the opportunity to take some great pictures. Magdalini explained everything in a way that was easy to understand while still being detailed and engaging. She made the entire experience memorable, and we learned so much throughout the tour. Highly recommend this tour company.
Thank you for such a thoughtful review, David! We are so pleased to hear that your experience with Magdalini was excellent from start to finish. It really is a game-changer to be among the first groups through the gates—having those quieter moments for photos and reflection makes the history feel even more impactful. We are glad that Magdalini’s ability to balance detail with an engaging, easy-to-understand style helped make the morning so memorable for you. We will be sure to pass your high recommendation and kind words along to her! Warmly, Athens Walking Tours Team
This company was great. First they were responsive even before it started, working with me when we needed to meet up. The guild was very informative and I love that they had headsets so everyone could hear no matter what. We went on a very cold and windy day which made it a bit harder to hear, but that’s Mother Nature for you. We continued with the museum tour also. So glad we did, she explained it all easily and made it more enjoyable.
Hi Jessica, thanks so much for the detailed feedback! We’re delighted our communication helped you feel at ease before the tour even started, we know how important that peace of mind is when traveling. Even when Mother Nature brings the wind and cold, those headsets are such a game-changer for staying connected to the history! We’re also happy you pushed through to the museum; it really is the perfect way to warm up while making the stories "click."
Egli was our guide and she was wonderful! The tour was comprehensive of the most important details of both the Acropolis and the Museum. We had early entry so we started the tour at 8:30am which was best to beat the crowds and the heat. Tip: make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and sunscreen and have a hat...there is no shade on the Acropolis!
Hello, Thank you for the lovely review! We’re delighted you enjoyed the early entry experience with Aigli. Starting early does make a difference for a calmer visit before the crowds and heat arrive. It’s rewarding to hear the tour gave you a clear and meaningful understanding of both the Acropolis and the Museum. And thank you for sharing the helpful tips as well! Warm regards, Athens Walking Tours Team
It was an incredible tour with our guide Rina. We couldn’t believe her wealth of knowledge. Taking the early tour is the way to go!

The tour operator did a fantastic job! The meeting locations was clearly outlined with a reminder sent to us the day before. Recommend taking tour prior to the 9:00 am rush.
Thank you, Patricia! We’re delighted you enjoyed the tour and found the meeting instructions clear and helpful. We completely agree—early entry is the best way to enjoy the Acropolis before the crowds. Warm regards, Athens Walking Tours Team

The crowds were so large that the ability to enter early was super beneficial. Pan, The guide was amazing!
Thank you, Nicholas! It's rewarding to know you enjoyed the early access and had a great experience with Pan — she truly is a fantastic guide! Beating the crowds makes all the difference at the Acropolis. Warm regards, Athens Walking Tours Team
A brilliant way to spend a morning being shown around the Acropolis and museum by a lovely knowledgeable and witty guide whose name I cant remember (absolutely shocking on my behalf) she was amazing. We were group No 22. During the summer months I recommend booking the morning tour as it gets very hot. Also if you are unsteady on your feet then take somewith you as there are a lot of pot holes and very shiny slippery rocks. Great tour and you get to see everything . You also dodge the queues to get in.
John, thank you for the fantastic review! We're so glad you enjoyed the tour and had a great experience with your guide—no worries about the name, we’ll do our best to identify her and pass along your kind words. Your tips about booking the morning tour and navigating the terrain are spot on. Delighted you got to see everything while beating the queues! Warm regards, Athens Walking Tours Team
Everything was as described when booking. The day was hot. There was lots of walking. But the overall feeling of the tour was captivating and interesting - it was a true honour to be there. Marguerite, our tour guide was charming, enthusiastic and above all passionately knowledgeable about her subject. To hold us all enthralled for over four hours without a script was impressive and inspiring. Her thrilling understanding of her country’s history was uplifting and made me feel like I was actually stepping back in time - bravo and thank you.
Claire, thank you for such a glowing review! We're thrilled Marguerite’s passion and deep knowledge made your tour truly captivating and memorable. Holding the group’s attention for over four hours is no small feat, and it’s wonderful to hear you felt transported back in time. We’ll be sure to pass along your kind words! Warm regards, Athens Walking Tours Team
