Votre voyage commence sur la place de la République, le cœur animé de Belgrade, à 10h00. De là, nous nous dirigerons vers le quartier de Dorćol, où le café n’est pas seulement une boisson, c’est un rituel. Vous découvrirez la façon serbe de déguster un café, où il s’agit de savourer l’instant présent et de partager une conversation animée. Sirotez une tasse forte et parfaitement brassée, et si vous l'aimez, vous pouvez ramener quelques haricots à la maison pour rappeler cette tradition locale.
Une fois que vous serez sous tension, nous flânerons dans le marché de Bajloni, l'un des marchés verts les plus anciens et les plus animés de Belgrade. Ici, vous aurez un véritable avant-goût de la diversité culinaire de la ville, avec des ingrédients frais qui forment la colonne vertébrale de la cuisine serbe. En cours de route, nous nous arrêterons dans une boulangerie pour déguster une bruschetta fraîchement préparée - parfaitement accompagnée d'une sélection de fromages locaux que vous dégusterez au marché.
La visite se poursuit dans la plus ancienne pâtisserie de Belgrade, où vous vous adonnerez à des douceurs qui sont un beau mélange d'influences serbes, ottomanes et européennes. Ces pâtisseries ne sont pas seulement délicieuses, elles reflètent l’histoire complexe et le mélange culturel de la ville. FACULTATIF: Pour ceux qui souhaitent prolonger leur visite, le véritable point fort vous attend - déjeuner dans un restaurant moderne qui fusionne les racines agricoles de la Serbie avec des techniques culinaires de pointe. Le menu célèbre les ingrédients cultivés localement, préparés avec une touche fraîche et contemporaine, et magnifiquement présentés. C’est un moyen parfait de voir comment la scène gastronomique de Belgrade a évolué tout en honorant ses riches traditions. We started our tour with a relaxing (and much needed!) coffee break where we had domestic coffee. Our guide, Katarina, was very personable (we felt like she was like a family member or close friend!) and answered all our questions about Serbian culture and daily life. We then went to a nearby bakery to sample some traditional baked goods (and bureks) and then visited a pastry shop for some fresh cakes and lemonade. We ended our tour with an 8-course lunch with incredibly creative and delicious representations of the new Balkan cuisine. We highly recommend this tour to future visitors!
<p>Jelena was a wonderful guide. She had a lot of great insights about life in Belgrade and how Serbians like to enjoy food. We went first to a coffee shop for some traditional coffee, then to the local market for some great tastings. After that we had some sweet pastries baklava at a bakery. The las stop was at the Iris restaurant where I had a eight course small bites lunch. It was delicious and the wine pairings where excellent. The best part of the tour was learning from what Jelena had to tell. She was incredibly nice and open to all kind of questions. A highly recommended experience</p>

<p>This trip is an absolute must. Our guide Jelena from Serbia Tours was simply fantastic. She met us at our hotel and took us on a walking tour of Belgrade to see the sights and sounds of local markets and cafes which we would not have discovered on our own. Great tasting experiences - local coffee, pastries, cakes, breads and drinks and in the market, cheeses, honey, fruit, nuts and meats. Brilliant. Don't eat too much however as the best is yet to come. <br/> We were whisked to the other side of town and a hidden gem ! Restaurant Iris. What an amazing experience. 8 course menu prepared before our eyes to introduce us to New Balkan Cuisine. Wow wow wow. Go and find this place. Off the beaten track and one flight up a staircase that takes you to what at face value appears to be a residential apartment. It was and is now a restaurant with minimal decor so that guests can only concentrate on the amazing dishes that are presented to you throughout the visit. THREE WORDS..GO GO GO !<br/> Can not recommend enough ! Such a brilliant experience. You will not be disappointed. Jelena ate with us and provided us with lots of information about the city, its culture and history. She also provided amazing tips for the rest of our time in Belgrade. This trip is a MUST.</p>
