Le temple bouddhiste Jogyesa est l'un des monuments les plus importants du bouddhisme Coréen, établi pour la première fois en 1935. Le temple est situé dans le centre-ville de Séoul et est orné d'un ancien pin blanc. Il y a quelques étapes importantes pour entrer dans le temple. Tout d’abord, vous devez passer par « Iljum », qui est la porte à pilier unique. L’« Iljumun » symbolise la division entre le monde des vivants et celui du saint Bouddha. Vous vivrez une belle expérience spirituelle et pourrez admirer les splendides statues dorées.
Cérémonie de relève de la garde – témoin d’une tradition Coréenne spectaculaire Vous verrez la cérémonie méticuleusement chorégraphiée qui se déroule devant la porte de Gwanghwamun. Cette tradition est née sous la dynastie Joseon et la ville a décidé de la ramener pour reconstitution en 1996. Les soldats portent des uniformes bleus et rouges colorés et patrouillent gracieusement aux portes du palais pour protéger le roi. La tradition est très élégante et tout simplement belle à regarder! Palais Gyeongbok (sauf le mardi) – vivre comme un royal Le prochain tour de Séoul est le palais Gyeongbokgung. Ce fut la maison principale de la dynastie Joseon construite en 1395. C'est un superbe bâtiment avec 7 700 chambres! Le palais a pris quelques coups au fil des ans, ce qui le rend d'autant plus intéressant à voir aujourd'hui! Certains des points forts ici sont Gangnyeongjeon, les quartiers principaux du roi, Geunjeongjeon où le roi a accepté des visites officielles, Gyeonghoeru - la salle de banquet spéciale, et plus encore!
Le Musée national du Palais de Corée a été initialement créé sous le nom de « Musée impérial Coréen » en 1908 ; il a cependant été renommé et déplacé à de nombreuses reprises au cours de son histoire. Aujourd'hui, le musée conserve environ 45 000 artefacts et trésors royaux provenant des palais de la dynastie Joseon et de l'Empire Coréen. En outre, vous pouvez trouver 14 des trésors nationaux de la Corée du Sud situés ici. Avec 500 ans d'histoire à l'affiche, vous pouvez avoir une véritable idée du passé et découvrir ce que c'était que de vivre en tant que roi et reine Joseon.

Our guide (Alice) was amazing, and she showed us some interesting sites. I really loved the changing of the guard ceremony, the palace grounds, and the ginseng museum (bring your wallet if you want to buy premium quality ginseng products). The driver was also great, because he had to deal with crazy traffic and street closures due to a protest going on that day. We did the half day tour, but there were others who did the full day tour, so we did not return to our meeting point.

Great half-day tour covering some of Seoul’s most important landmarks, including Jogyesa Temple, Gyeongbokgung Palace, the National Folk Museum and the Changing of the Guard Ceremony.
