Guide gave minimal information Also despite a pretty expensive tour he said he had not been paid and ask for money for him and the driver.
This tour didn’t live up to its reviews; that could be partly due to the guide who was nice but not verse in the archaeology and history of Carthage. It started late as they had a car problem but the guide told me “the tour is for Sidi Bou Said and Carthage” but since you’re staying in Sidi Bou Said we will only do Carthage. I told him that my tour was for Carthage only… it was supposed to be in depth 4-hour trip which ended up being 2 and a half; and, importantly missed the Tophat archaeological site (though it was in the schedule) and I had to return to Carthage another day - which was a blessing as at the Tophat I met with Hussam, a guide who was on site - initially I was not sure if I’d hire him but as he started explaining the various areas at the site I was so impressed and didn’t want the tour to end. Extremely knowledgeable and articulate, and up to date with the current theories of what this place was as well as the recent excavations and their outcomes and evidence supporting one theory (of no child sacrifice). My suggestion would be that at least for those travelers who’ve booked a half a day tour of Carthage you pair them with the most knowledgeable and expert guides who can bring the history and the life in ancient Carthage to life.

Inaccurate visit (duration 2.5 hours instead of 4. To return to the hotel, since it was a different hotel from the one at the beginning, they asked us for more money.

The tour is very well organized. Our day was amazing. Excellent guide Boubou. She was very kind and helpful with our 4 year old daughter. Loved everything in the tour. Guide gave plenty of information and all the time we needed to see everything. Highly recommend it.
Faisal and Aiman were engaged and answered all my questions. This is a great tour for understanding the differences and similarities between the Punic, Roman and Byzantine eras. Even though I was most interested in the Punic era, the context was illuminating. A bystander at one of the sites appreciated the tour so much, he asked how he could sign up. Highly recommended.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re delighted to hear that Faisal and Aiman provided engaging and informative guidance throughout the tour. It’s great that you enjoyed exploring the Punic, Roman, and Byzantine eras, and that the context added value to your experience. We truly appreciate your recommendation and are happy to see you in one of SAHARANSKY destinations in the near future!
We had a great tour with our Guide Houda. She was punctual, showed us the monuments and Carthaginian ruines. She also provided great explanations, and the history relates to present day Tunisia. Highly recommended Guide.

The guide was absolutely amazing. Very knowledgeable and very nice. He seemed to know quite a bit about the whole history of the area. His driver was always courteous and seemed to enjoy his part in all of it (maybe because he stayed in the air conditioned car). It was incredibly hot on that day, but they made sure that we were not getting too overheated, as best as they could. Requires a good bit of walking, including up and down hill, and much of it isn't wheelchair accessible (some parts had ramps that I saw, though). I cannot recommend this guide highly enough.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you had such a positive experience with our guide and driver. It’s great to know that their knowledge and attentiveness made your visit enjoyable, even in the heat. We appreciate your feedback about the walking and accessibility—it helps us to continue improving our services. Thank you for recommending us so highly!
Our tour guide, Nouraddean, was absolutely amazing. He was a wealth of history and knowledge. We had no idea about the rich history of Tunisia and its importance to the world and he made it come alive for us. He tailored the tour to our shorter time in port, showed us the most important sights, and added stops to our tour based on our questions and interests. When we spoke to other cruise passengers who booked excursions through the ship or did things on their own, our experience was above and beyond what they did. I would go back to Tunisia or anywhere else our guide was leading a tour in a heart beat.
