Dans cette visite de 3 heures, vous apprendrez à connaître Windhoek et la Namibie de l'époque coloniale à nos jours. Visitez la Christ Church et le Vieux Fort avant de vous rendre dans le township de Katutura pour rencontrer les gens, déguster des spécialités locales et apprendre l'histoire de Windhoek et de ses habitants.

Notre premier arrêt est la Christuskirche, le monument le plus reconnaissable de Windhoek. Jetez un coup d'œil à l'intérieur (s'il est ouvert) et découvrez cette église au design unique située dans le centre de la ville.
Notre prochain arrêt est les jardins du Parlement, nommés pour sa proximité avec le Parlement. Ici, nous apprenons tout sur la riche histoire de la Namibie et sur les peuples qui se sont battus pour l'indépendance de la Namibie.
Nous y découvrons le Dr Sam Nujoma, le père fondateur de la Namibie, et la lutte pour l'indépendance de la Namibie ainsi que là où nous nous trouvons environ 20 ans après l'indépendance.
Informations complémentaires sur l'histoire de la Namibie, notamment sur le rôle des Allemands et des Sud-Africains avant l'indépendance.
De Windhoek, nous nous rendons dans le canton de Katutura pour découvrir comment vivent plus de 50% des habitants de Windhoek. Katutura elle-même est une vaste région, composée de toutes les banlieues et de tous les niveaux socio-économiques.
Explorez le marché local et dégustez des mets délicats allant de Kapana (viande au barbecue) aux vers Mopane, en passant par le plat cuisiné, etc.
Notre dernier arrêt est Penduka, un merveilleux projet de femmes mis en place pour offrir des opportunités de travail aux femmes. Explorez leur atelier et découvrez comment ils fabriquent de beaux objets de curiosité locaux, allant de tissus de style batik à la broderie, etc.

What a great tour! Gregory was amazing, and really gave a great outline of Windhoek. Great way to start my trip to Namibia.
Three-hour trip with a city tour. The city itself does not have much to offer, but the guide was very thorough. The most interesting part of the local market is the Township.

We were amazed at how much we saw and experienced on this tour. Each place was brief (some a bit longer) but it gave a good taste of Windhoek and the Township. Highly recommend!

Visited to main buildings in Windhoek from colonial times through to modern. Then visit to township created during apartheid and a local food market. Then to informal settlement which houses 300000 people in tough conditions. Lastly visit to women's craft cooperative. Michael was very informative.
