J’ai créé cette visite pour ma famille végétarienne venue de l’étranger, qui avait du mal à comprendre ce qu’elle pouvait manger en toute sécurité sur les marchés de Séoul. J'ai passé plus d'un mois au marché de Gwangjang avant que ma famille ne vienne, vérifiant les ingrédients et discutant avec chaque cuisinier jusqu'à ce que je trace une route pour les végétariens. Depuis que j'ai guidé ma famille, j'ai continué à rechercher et à peaufiner l'itinéraire. Chaque arrêt est maintenant entièrement végétal, de sorte que les végétariens et les végétaliens peuvent rejoindre en toute confiance. Je m'occupe de toutes les commandes et traductions, afin que vous puissiez simplement profiter de la nourriture et des histoires. Pendant deux heures, nous tissons dans des ruelles animées, goûtant du mandu végétal cuit à la vapeur à la main, du tteokbokki à mâcher, des crêpes croustillantes aux haricots mungo, une dose rafraîchissante de soju vérifié par des végétaliens, plus une friandise sucrée surprenante – et bien d’autres joyaux végétaux cachés. En cours de route, écoutez des histoires d'initiés de la culture du marché, des recettes de la cour royale et de l'étiquette culinaire locale alors que vous goûtez à votre façon comme un vrai Séoulite.

Amazing tour on the food market in Seoul. He picked such nice local vegan food in a city that is serving a lot of meat focused dishes. The guide has a very nice energy as well. Food was super delicious. Would definitely recommend!

My wife and I are vegetarian and wanted to experience seouls street food scene, but between dietary restrictions and language barrier, this would have been quite difficult to navigate on our own. Fortunately Jungho’s vegetarian tour was available and navigated us through Gwangjang market and we couldn’t have done it without him. He was super kind and knowledgeable and made sure everyone in the group was enjoying their time. He spent his own time and money building relationships with vendors in the markets. Jungho was such a friendly and warm guide. He gave us a relaxed, thoughtfully curated tour of various (about eleven!) vegan food options in the market. He explained each item, gave us the cultural context behind it, and also helped us pace it out well. I'm so glad I did this tour. There's no way I could have discovered these vegan options on my own, and no way I would have known the context behind any of it (Jungho prepared ahead of time by contacting the vendors/chefs to check if they have made it vegan on that day.) I would recommend coming hungry (skip lunch) or with a friend who can eat a lot :) you can also pack some food for later.

This tour was fantastic! We were so happy to find a vegan Gwangjang Market Tour. We got to taste many different and delicious dishes, snacks and drinks and Jungho was such a great guide - he told us many interesting things about Korean food and culture.
