Traveling with Primate World Safaris and my guide Ashiraf was a truely unique and exceptional experience. I got to see lions at a distance from 3 m, staring the lioness right in the eyes! There were two lionesses there with two cubs. Unbelievable. Additionally, I saw a baby hippo with its mother, elephants, buffalos and even a leopard. All wild of course. And this was just one day! I haven't gotten to the chimpanzees and mountain gorillas yet... The tour was well-organized and Ashiraf was very flexible and always in a good mood, joking around :) Another bonus point was that Primate World Safaris makes sure to incorporate the local communities around the National Parks. I learned how the "Coffee Queen" makes coffee and much more.
We had a brilliant time on our trip in December with our guide, Geoffrey. The highlight was definitely meeting the gorillas face to face in Bwinidi Impenetrable national park, that was a once in a lifetime experience. We also loved visiting the chimpanzees in Kibale forest and going on the game drives, where we were super lucky to see 2 leopards and several lion, as well as elephants, pumbas, hippos and crocodiles. The trip was so well organised. Jackson and his team took care of us from start to finish - nothing was too much trouble. We decided to extend our stay to visit the Ssese Islands and Jackson organised all of that for us too, including the ferry to get there. Our guide, Geoffrey, was great with us too, we had such a fun time. He gave us loads of interesting commentary each day on the places and things we saw. We loved the whole itinerary and it was really lovely to see how primate world safaris are supporting other small businesses and communities throughout Uganda. Definitely the trip of a lifetime! We were sad to leave, but happy to have gained new friends in Uganda. We highly recommend this trip and primate world safaris as tour guides.
Our family of 5 adults, 3 adults children and 2 parents have just returned from an 8 day holiday in Uganda designed by Jackson from Primate World Safaris. Jackson was very patient quickly answering the many emails I sent him to design the trip in the months before we left, so all 5 of us could have a truly unforgettable holiday. It was. Remy our guide was kind and considerate and a carefully driver for the entire trip from when he met us at Entebbe airport to when he dropped us finally in Kigali in Rwanda 8 days later. Remy drove us from Kampala to to Kibale (seeing the chimps) Queen Elizabeth Park (seeing many animals including tree climbing lions, hyenas stealing the kill from a family of leopards and many other animals, and a trip on a lake to see hippos) to Bwinda Impenetrable Forest and then the Virunga mountains for the most unforgettable experience of spending an hour on two successive days with two families of gorillas. We will never forget this. He introduced us to various foods such as Rolex, Matoke and different ways of cooking various varieties of bananas. Apart from those exciting adventures in jungles and parks we stayed in wonderful authentic accommodation each night - all different - some in forest- like environment in upmarket permanent tent type accommodation to beautiful lodges overlooking the game parks, and lakes. All accommodation was run by warm and welcoming staff. 3 meals per day were delicious. We had lots of choice. All beds had mosquito nets. I could not fault the trip. We also visited village activities where the proceeds went to help the village rather than one person or company. The whole experience in Uganda was perfect and all 5 of us would like to thank Primate World Safaris for our truly unforgettable experience.
