If you are short on time in Tunis , great way to see a lot of the area. The day goes by really fast.
It was a wonderful day with a lot to experience and learn. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Great introduction to Tunis for the first timer visitor. It covers several most popular attractions. Highly recommended.
Really impressed with this trip. Many operators wanted ridiculous money for a solo traveller. Price of this trip was fair. Great guide, safe driver, saw all the major sites at a relaxed pace. On time pick up. Would definitely recommend.
This guide was knowledgeable but obnoxious and brought us to stores where the shop keepers pressured us to buy things. The one shop owner even made a strange comment about not liking Algeria The guide was annoying and constantly asking us to pay attention and if we liked the trip. Honestly he gave me a headache for the rest of the night. The driver was excellent though

To: TripAdvisor 342.52$/2 Numéro de réservation BR-1322596063 ven. 10 oct. 2025 SAHARANSKY Tunis : Carthage, Musée du Bardo, Sidi Bou Said & Medina Group Tour TO:viator ref 1316207251 TO: caravan du sahara The worst excursion in my life. Bad experience no 1 On the departure day we were supposed to be picked up at 8h00 AM. On our way to the cafeteria for breakfast at 7h00 AM I get a call that the driver is waiting to pick us up. I told him it’s supposed to be at 8h00. A French speaking guide calls me to say that the pickup time is 7h00. So we get to the car. We are about to leave when the same guide calls to tell us that we can go to our breakfast and that we will be picked up at 8h00. In the meantime I check my emails. AT 6h39 PM, 12 hours before leaving I received an email changing the departure time to 7h00 AM. REALLY .But I saw that email only after the driver the call at 7.00 AM This is organised disorganisation. Bad experience no 2 The driver then dropped us at the Bardo Museum. Surprise, no guide no bus. Luckily the driver is still around. The driver put me in contact with the French speaking guide who tells me she will be a little late. We have waited 1 ½ hours sitting on a cold uncomfortable marble bench. If we would have left at 7.00 AM we would have waited 2 1/2 hours. The guide finally arrive, doesn’t speak French at all. We are supposed to be in a French speaking group. She tells me that she was called at the last minute to replace the original guide. My spouse did not enjoy the visit because she did not understand English at all. Bad experience n0 3 We got back at the hotel later than expected and missed our diner. Comment: Is it possible to do worst than that. On a positive note The Guide was 100% ok despite she didn’t speak French and took good care of my spouse and me. We both use a walking cane. Shouldn’t I get some kind o compensation?

I'm glad I booked a tour with driver - we were able to see the highlights I had hoped for. They even dropped me off at the North Africa American Cemetery so I could pay a visit. The lunch that was included was great - in the Medina and a great selection of traditional foods. It was all quite informal - there were three of us in the group plus guide and driver. They were 30 minutes late picking me up, so I was on the phone with Viator when they arrived. The guide was nice enough but just OK at his job. Unfortunately, he seemed unenthused, he spoke quietly and struggled a bit with English. We were in a small car that miraculously seats seven, so two people were in the middle seat and I was in the back "jump seat". I couldn't hear the guide at all when he was speaking, but the men in the middle shared a bit with me. During our walks you had to be right next to him to hear. Despite the tour description that said they will not encourage any particular items or vendors for purchase, we stopped at one particular hat maker in the medina and mosaic vendor in Sidi Bou Said...where we bought items. ; ) Well played. Previous reviews were good, so it just depends on the guide and experience. I would choose a different tour/vendor next time, but you just never know.

We booked a private tour with a driver and guide for four people. After being picked up by the driver we were told that we didn’t have a guide. Although we immediately questioned this he continued driving. We asked to speak to the company and he refused. After some persistence he rang the company (we assume) and we asked if they could accommodate us the following day. We were told no, and that a refund would not be offered to us. We insisted on being taken back to the hotel. After some persistence we got a refund. We explained to our hotel what happened and they organised the same tour at a lower cost. Possibly we should have booked via the hotel in first instance. I appreciate this was our experience and others have enjoyed much better service.
