Découvrez l'un des plus anciens bâtiments de Cadix, où vous serez initié à l'histoire de la plus ancienne ville d'Occident.
Après avoir exploré le Barrio del Pópulo, le plus ancien de la ville, nous verrons le joyau de la couronne de Cadix, sa cathédrale. Là, nous vous raconterons l'histoire du commerce à Cadix, ses liens avec l'Amérique et avec le monument.
Après avoir découvert de nombreux sites intéressants en explorant le marché et les ruelles, nous arriverons au Barrio de la Viña, le quartier le plus traditionnel de la ville, où nous expliquerons son lien avec le carnaval, la vie populaire de Cadix et la plage de Caleta.
Nous sommes arrivés au plus beau point de vue sur la ville, là où le soleil, la mer et les châteaux se rejoignent. Profitez de l'une des plages les plus historiques de la planète.
Nous atteindrons le cœur du Carnaval de Cadix et raconterons son histoire dans le temple qui porte le nom du légendaire musicien Manuel de Falla.
L'une des plus grandes places de Cadix, où nous découvrirons la vie des marchands de Cadix, les tours de guet, leurs maisons palatiales et la légendaire Calle Ancha, où se concluaient des affaires pour la moitié du monde.
Nous verrons le temple où fut rédigée la première constitution libérale d'Europe, la constitution de 1812, également connue sous le nom de La Pepa. Là seront relatés les événements des Cortes de Cadix et du siège napoléonien, événements qui ont changé l'histoire du monde.
Nous visiterons la plus haute tour d'observation de la ville et l'impressionnant palais sur lequel elle se dresse.
Nous terminerons par le temple de la bonne cuisine dans la ville, en vous donnant des conseils sur les meilleurs restaurants et les plats les plus typiques de Cadix.

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of Cadiz with Joaquín. Joaquín took us around his old town telling tales of how the Phoenicians, Romans, Moors, Spanish royalty, traders with the New World, Napoleonic French, British and others (even a handful of Irish) all left their mark as Cadiz's prosperity, power and influence rose and fell over the millenia. We heard how the basements, selection of stones in the walls, street corner adornments, balconies and rooftops all had their own hidden meanings. Great walking tour in old town of Cadiz with Javier Bonnemaison Correas. I highly recommend to use them. Very good knowledge of history of Cádiz as well as Europe and the old world.
It was great to get to know the city throught the eyes of a local historian. Very informative and also amusing, we saw how the city looked, what the people of Cadiz did, how they trade... Superb experience.
The tour was a perfect mix of history and culture, and Javier was a charming and friendly guide with lots of recommendations for food and visits. It was nice to be led around the old walls and passages of Cádiz by someone who knows it so well, and it was particularly interesting to be shown old photographs and prints of the city. Would recommend this tour for sure! We were only sorry we never got to taste the churros as the recommended place was closed when we returned - we should have checked the opening times!
This was the best tour to gain a better understanding of Cadiz. Joaquin was so knowledgable and passionate about Cadiz, I’m not sure we could have gained as much information from any other tour. He kept on apologising for his poor English, stating that he wanted to learn more - but his English was fantastic and definitely much better than our Spanish. He provides this service with his brother - mainly due to their passion about Cadiz which they need to be commended for. My daughter - who studies Spanish took notes all of the way around as he was so interesting. We cannot recommend this enough - we loved every single minute of it ! It was a very pleasant visit where we learned many interesting facts that we didn't know, even though we know the city very well. The guide is very kind, friendly, and you can tell he is passionate about his work. We will definitely repeat soon with another tour ❤️
Javier was our English speaking tour guide. He sent detailed information for the meeting spot in advance to us. This was helpful. His knowledge of the history of Cádiz was engaging. He was happy to share, and answer any questions about this city. He also gave great recommendations for eating spots once the tour was over. I would use this tour company again when visiting Cádiz.
An outstanding tour that brought the history of Cádiz to life. Using historical photographs, illustrations and engravings, the guide showed how the city has changed over the centuries, making every stop fascinating. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and clearly has a real passion for Cádiz. We learned so much about its history and culture, and also received some excellent recommendations for places to eat and drink. If you want to experience the real Cádiz rather than just see the sights, I highly recommend this tour.
Javi knows countless details about the city beyond the usual reviews of buildings and corners. In fact, I have the feeling that he keeps a lot of aspects to avoid giving travelers the impression of having an excessively "cultured" or "heavy" guide. A guy from "Cadi Cadi." I would repeat it
