Isabella was a terrific tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about the city of New Orleans. Told us about the history of each area of the city. We learned so much more than if we just walked around on our own. She was very pleasant easy to understand and a good driver.
Oh my goodness, thank you so much Ms Jane! You guys were such a great audience! You made my day with this review! Take care, Cordially, Isabelle C.
We had an amazing afternoon outing with Rene (our guide for this tour) around all parts of New Orleans. I will start by saying there were torrential rains; thunder and lightening the afternoon we did our tour -- and the weather did NOT dampen our spirits even a tiny bit. Rene is born and raised in Louisiana and his family goes back multiple generations -- and he knew every little nook and cranny of town along with tons of fun facts. The history and his enthusiasm as we traveled along.....it is infectious. We exited the vehicle briefly only twice -- so the rain was almost irrelevant. We were provided with BIG golf umbrellas when we went to learn about the above ground cemetaries and when we did our stop for Cafe au Lait and Beignets. It was a perfect break in the middle of all the fun wandering via van. The small group can hold a few others but, ours happened to be just our own small group which made it that much more fun! We were all in town for Jazz Fest and we had planned in advance to tour on this particular day and not attend music at the Fest. With the rain, we really lucked out on our no music plans -- as the rain did not impact us at all. Rene picked us up on time at our hotel in downtown New Orleans in a van. Rene was FULL of so much information and answered our multitude of questions. Small Group Tour is the way to go!!! Rene is funny and informative. If you need recommendations of restaurants or want to know about Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath of that, Rene has you covered. He covered it all. We learned so much in that one day (1:00-5:00)!!! Highly recommend Tours by Isabelle and Rene -- you cannot go wrong. And, Isabelle herself, VERY easy to connect with and work with as we had a couple minor changes (one friend wanted to join but, then was not able). DO THIS TOUR. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!
Thank you for this thorough review! We love it! I am sharing it with Rene, of course. Please come back to NOLA soon! Isabelle C.
John our tour guide was extraordinary. He was friendly and oh so knowledgeable about every aspect of the city and history. We could not endorse him and tours by Isabel Avery higher-they were that Sensational
Oh my goodness thank you so much. What a wonderful review. I will share that with John and I know this will make him happy! So glad you enjoyed our New Orleans city tour! Isabelle C.
Really interesting tour around NOLA with Rene. Lots of information and some great banter. Particularly liked the Bestoff Sculpture Garden. Wish I had time to do more tours with them
Oh, we also wish you could come back soon and take more of our other tours, for sure! So glad you enjoyed your City Tour with Rene! I will share this happy review with him and we thank you for it! Cordially, Isabelle C.
Vanessa was so knowledgeable and was so helpful and personal. We learned so much history and saw much more than expected! She’s great.
Thank you very much Ms Georgianna, it was truly a pleasure to give you your New Orleans City tour last Wednesday. Cordially, Isabelle C.
Isabelle the tour director is very knowledgable and makes the tour fun and a learning experience.if you have limited time there is a lot to see.
Isabelle is so knowledgeable and has created a tour that was fun and a learning experience. We had limited time and could not have seen all the sites we did without her.
We are so happy you enjoyed your historical New Orleans City tour. You all were such a great audience that it was a pleasure to give you your tour, truly! Please come back to visit us soon, we'll be here. Cordially, Isabelle C.
Our guide Gisele did a bad job with us. The tour was an hour late and she forgot all about our post tour reservation that she knew was important to us. Then to make matters even more frustrating, even though i was showing her the simple map directions on my iPhone, she dumped my wife and I off 5 blocks away from the restaurant. We had to walk alone in the dark and arrive over an hour late for our reservation for a table so we could watch our college football game. So we only caught the last few minutes.
Good morning Ken, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear about your experience at the end of the City Tour. We normally bring our guests back to their hotel. Traffic and road closures downtown on that busy Friday after Thanksgiving can create delays at the drop off time. We are sorry for the delay, miscommunication, and not being able to drop you off closer to your dinner destination, that is highly unusual for us, as you can see from 99% of our reviews and does not reflect the standard of service we have strived to provide for the last 46 years!. We take your comments seriously and will be addressing this directly with Gisele and our team to ensure better coordination and care for future guests. Your post-tour reservation was clearly important, and we apologize that this impacted your evening and plans. If you are willing, please contact us directly so we can discuss your experience further. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Isabelle C,
This tour was recommended to us and it was so much better than we expected. We had a group of 10 people, we were picked up and dropped off at our door. Isabelle was our tour guide and her knowledge of the city made all the difference. The tour took us around many different areas in the city with several stops. If you are looking for a fun, informative tour about the history of New Orleans this tour can’t be beat. All ages on our tour, 20 to 80 and everyone had a great time! We will definitely plan a swamp tour with Isabelle on our next visit!!
Well, this truly makes my day! Thank you all, your family was just delightful to work for! I can't wait to give you your next tour... Thank you again, Isabelle C.
Highly recommend this tour for an in-depth tour of the city of New Orleans. We covered the French Quarter, Garden District, the levees, and a walking tour of a cemetery. An added stop for beignets in the city park was a treat. Our guide Rene is so knowledgeable. Excellent tour and tour company.
Thank you so much, I am forwarding this great review to Rene, you will make his day! Hoping you'll be back to visit with us soon! Isabelle C.
