It exceeded our expectations & we loved meeting a local family & seeing their craft. Our guide was cheerful & accommodating
Thank you Kathy, and hope you appreciated French restaurant.
Teresa was a terrific tour guide for the French Touch tour of Noumea. Her vehicle was spacious and comfortable and she is a careful and attentive driver. She delivered every item on the itinerary, with appropriate modifications to accommodate my son, who is a full-time wheelchair user. We started with a visit to the market. It was great to see all of the fresh fruits and veggies, including the biggest grapefruits I have ever seen! The fish market had a big variety of fresh seafood. There is also a section of the market to buy clothes and souvenirs. Teresa speaks excellent English so was invaluable serving as a translator for us. We spent lots of time exploring the Tjibaou Cultural Center - lots and lots of beautiful artwork. We also toured a bit of the grounds to see traditional homes and gathering spaces for the people of New Caledonia. And the architecture of the Cultural Center is astounding and not to be missed. Then it was time for lunch - when you are in France you must eat at a French restaurant and Marmite et Tire-Bouchon was exceptional. What a treat it was to eat such delicious food outside by the water! We then traveled a short way to Lemon Bay, where an accessible mat takes wheelchair users through the sandy beach and right into the water - fantastic! We had just a short time left to spend at the zoo park, high above the city. In the afternoon there are no crowds so it was a great time to see and especially listen to the birds. All in all a great day in a beautiful place with an excellent guide! Thank you Teresa!!
Thank you Susan, happy to know you enjoyed your all day in Noumea. You'll welcome back.
Excellent tour! I highly recommend. The tour van was large, clean and excellent for small groups. Lunch restaurant was authentic french cuisine and delicious.
Excellent tour around Noumea with an English speaking driver (Yvan). Yvan was punctual, professional, friendly and made sure we had an excellent day. Enjoyed our stops at the market, chocolate shop in the town centre, the hill overlooking Noumea, Tjibaou Cultural Centre and the zoo, however the place we were taken to lunch was excellent! I also used this company for my airport transfers and like Yvan, Ludovic was also friendly, professional and punctual. Thank to Gaetan for his help in arranging these drivers. Also, both Yvan and Ludovic were very safe and smooth drivers - much appreciated. When I return to New Caledonia, I’ll be reaching out to these guys again.
Thank you so much and welcome back next time.
Excellent Day! With a variety of cultural and foodie experiences. Beautiful lunch at Marmite; a visit to Tonton Jules Chocolate shop which was yum! The time at the cultural centre and nature park was also great. Our guide Marie/Anne very knowledgeable and personable. Highly recommended!
Thank you so much and welcome back next time.
We don’t speak much french so we’re a little concerned about the guide we would get however when Anne walked out she was very welcoming and instantly put our minds at ease. She was willing to adjust the day to our request of places we did/didn’t want to go to and didn’t hesitate to give us the best tips and recommendations of what to do and where to do. Anne also has other tours she does which is such a shame we are leaving the island so soon because we would have definitely booked other tours through her too!
Thank you very much.
I enjoyed this tour as it covered the 3 major things I wanted to see: The cultural centre The zoological and botanical gardens La Marmite et tire bouchon. There was ample time to see and experience these activities and I was not disappointed. I have given this a 3 star rating because of the guide who spoke about how good she was a guide and the generous tips that she received. In other words hint hint! And that really took the pleasure out of this tour. By all means book the tour but I hope you have a better guide than we did.
Gaëtan our driver is a friendly, smiling person. He knew by his sense of humor and his good humor to make us spend great moments and discover beautiful places.
Un grand merci à vous.
