Le Monument à la Révolution est un monument urbain emblématique qui devait à l'origine être le centre d'un palais législatif, mais il a été décidé de le transformer en mausolée. Explication et temps pour les photos. Durée totale 10 minutes.
Nous visiterons le parc central d'Alameda. Parc historique singulier et magnifique qui est un point de rencontre de ma ville. Là, nous visiterons également El Quemadero de la Inquisición. Vous connaîtrez les us et coutumes ainsi que les méthodes et pratiques du Temps de l'Inquisition. Explication et temps pour les photos. Durée totale 20 minutes.
Profil de l'un des ex-présidents les plus aimés de mon pays déclaré Méritoire des Amériques qui a laissé une grande marque historique dans notre Histoire du Mexique du XIXe siècle. Explication et temps pour les photos. Durée totale 5 minutes.
Fantastique exemple d'architecture mexicaine pour le monde où l'art déco et l'art nouveau s'entremêlent, laissant place à sa majesté et à d'innombrables théâtres, ballets, symphonies, opéras, peintures murales, etc. Explication de l'extérieur et temps pour les photos. Durée totale 25 minutes.
Nous commençons la visite dans le centre historique de Mexico (patrimoine de La Humados) avec le magnifique palais vice-royal qu'est La Casa de Los Azulejos sur la célèbre Calle (Pasaje) Madero. Ils connaîtront son intérieur et c'est aussi un endroit suggéré et propre pour utiliser leurs salles de bain. Profil de son Histoire et de ceux qui en ont été les propriétaires du XVIe siècle à nos jours. Temps total pour explications, photos et utilisation des sanitaires 25 minutes.
La poste. Une luxueuse construction néoclassique à la française du début du XXe siècle. Vous connaîtrez son intérieur avec de belles et fines finitions en marbre, laiton et bronze. Explication et temps pour les photos total de 15 minutes.
Le Palais Minier. Qui est une majestueuse construction néo-classique hispanique qui : a) À l'intérieur, il y a une exposition de quatre météorites pour votre admiration et prendre des photos. b) Dans sa partie avant se trouve la Plaza de Minería avec sa belle Statue du Petit Cheval créée par le célèbre architecte et sculpteur Manuel Tolsá.
Nous parcourrons les rues historiques de Tacuba et du Brésil en faisant référence aux styles architecturaux des manoirs, des palais et des églises du XVIe au XIXe siècle qui ont mis l'accent sur l'UNESCO pour déclarer notre beau centre historique comme patrimoine culturel de l'humanité.

Jorge is an excellent guide. A passionate historian, his tour provides lots of interesting additional information on the culture, architecture, history, and politics of Mexico City which might be omitted from a traditional tour. Don’t miss this - 10/10!

Jorge is very passionate and highly proficient about the history of his country and this city. This walking tour is fairly long and took us through some off-the-beaten path spots, from Aztec times to inquisition bonfires, sculptures, meteorites, and architectural details of buildings commissioned by Diaz. If you are an history buff and in fairly good shape, I highly recommend this tour!

Jorge is he knowledgeable and passionate guide. He’s a former history teacher and has deep knowledge of Mexico City. You will see and learn about things that conventional tour guides don’t know about. My only complaint would be sometimes he is too heavy handed and authoritarian in his delivery. But all in all he is a great tour guide and I learned a lot about Mexico City.

We had a great experience with Jorge, who is very knowledgeable about Mexico City history and enthusiastic about sharing it. We saw a lot of places from some of most famous to some that may not be in guidebooks but are very interesting nonetheless. We saw and learned so much! Jorge shared many memorable historical anecdotes. Be prepared to walk a lot (comfortable shoes and clothes and hats for the sun are a must) and your 3 hour immersion into Mexico City history. Highly recommended.

Did not realize Jorge the tour guide communicates thru What’s up , which I typically do not do. Been trying yo contact thru email as phone not available not until I called Viator. Took a while b4 we saw him. Thanks God he waited few more minutes - almost 20 min

Indeed: I keep in touch via WhatsApp BUT I also send complete information about the start time, tolerance for delays and above all the Meeting Point with a map right here via this Viator-TripAdvisor Message Chat and I did not receive any response from either means of communication. Also my phone number is available on the Platform and in the Tour explanation. Also you did not read the development of the tour correctly since my Tour is from a Meeting Point and not with transportation since you were on the street “waiting for a van” and not inside the Esplanade of the Monument to the Revolution as it was marked. The tolerance time is 15 minutes because I consider that punctuality is basic for both parties (yours and mine) and I did comply. In fact, I was very happy to wait for you for almost half an hour and you know what?: Because I was very happy to meet you and be able to give you my service because you were a wonderful and very enthusiastic group! It was a private tour with just me and the tour guide (George). He took me all around the City showing me the highlights and giving a lot of backstory to each location. George was very passionate about history, his City and his job. One can tell that he really loves history and he loves his country of Mexico! He also gave time to take pictures at each of the locations and or utilize the restroom where they had them. Mexico City is so beautiful with so much history. One would need a lot more time to see an experience and learn everything. This was just a quick trip of a couple days, so I definitely have to come back another time. I will need to come back to see More of the city in greater detail! It was a good experience and helps you get the lay of the land. Especially if anyone is a history of like me and loves history you should find this tour interesting.

Jorge was a great guide. There's a lot of ground to cover, both literally and figuratively, and he did a great job of keeping the conversation moving by connecting some of the key players in the history of the Mexican Republic to the architecture, monuments, and streetscape. I'd say this is an excellent early-days survey of the historic center that will help you understand where you want to return to later for a more in-depth look. For those of us only in town for a couple of days, it was the perfect way to understand the 'greatest hits', and I look forward to circling back to a few of the places we saw when I return and have more time. He's friendly, knowledgable, and easy to hear over the roar of traffic and crowds. His background as an educator really comes through.
