Une occasion unique et arrière de renouer et de retrouver votre culture, vos racines et votre lignée. Vous recevrez un nom africain traditionnel, et profiterez d'une vie de village comme la fabrication de poterie en argile, et dans un spectacle culturel traditionnel qui sera exposé pour vous accueillir dans la communauté par. Cette expérience est réservée exclusivement aux descendants, car il s'agit d'un pèlerinage sacré centré sur la guérison et la reconnexion. Les non-descendants ne peuvent adhérer que s'ils sont conjoints ou membres de la famille noire d'un participant. C'est un voyage énergisant qui vous permet d'assister à la façon dont les Africains vivaient autrefois comme des rois et des reines dans leurs patries avant qu'ils ne soient volés dans les donjons de la côte du Cap et emportés dans le « Nouveau Monde ». Nous vous conseillons de prendre un peu d'argent avec vous car vous pourriez vouloir acheter certaines des belles perles africaines comme cadeaux à la maison, et aussi un peu de don pour soutenir et améliorer ce qu'ils font! Portez du blanc, car c'est une couleur de célébration de la nouvelle vie ou conforme de votre choix est très bien.

Itinéraire
8h00 départ de l'hôtel/résidence d'Accra vers le village dans un véhicule climatisé. Arrivée vers 10 heures. Nous ferons d'abord une visite de courtoisie aux chefs et chefs traditionnels de la communauté où nous serons accueillis avec des tambours et des danses et recevront des noms traditionnels africains.
Nous nous dirigerons ensuite vers le magnifique lac Volta et profiterons d'un fantastique déjeuner dans un restaurant au bord du lac. Le lac Volta est le plus grand lac artificiel d'Afrique et le deuxième au monde.
Shai hills est la réserve de parc national de gibier la plus proche à Accra où nous pouvons voir des babouins en chemin.Nous pouvons nous arrêter pour prendre des photos et continuer notre voyage de retour à Accra

Our tour guide Toufic was amazing. He was knowledgeable about the history of Ghana, the culture, and the community called Torgome. Where our Naming ceremony was held, with the tribe, Ewes located in the Volta Region knew Toufic well. Toufic called ahead to inform the tribe of our arrival time which made the welcome of our presence so exciting. Lastly, Toufic took us to the Volta lake, explaining it was the 2nd largest man made lake which was very beautiful and to enjoy lunch at the amazing Restaurant called Afrikiko, put the cherry on top of everything. Overall, an amazing experience and great atmosphere. We look forward to returning soon and hope our tour guide will again be with Toufic. Happy 50th birthday to ME! Toufic is the best tour guide that Ghana has to offer. Not only does he have an amazing personality but his astute observations help you to better understand the culture. It was the highlight of my trip to have the naming ceremony after visiting Slave River and Elmina Castle. The entire community are so welcoming upon your arrival. Please be prepared to give a gift to the Chief after the ceremony. I didn’t know what give before getting on my flight so I gave some cedis. Lunch was great and the view of Lake Volta was stunning. I’d recommend this to any descendant looking to learn about the traditions of your ancestors. It truly was a highlight for my trip. Request Toufic after you book.

From the moment our guide, Kobe, picked us up, we felt like family. His energy was like we knew each other since birth and he spoke to us from a place of love and protection. He is very knowledgeable about our past and present while remaining hopeful for what the future brings to Ghana. When we arrived in the Volta Region, the children greeted us like little cousins who haven't seen us in so long! The elders embraced us with a true "welcome back home, we miss you" energy. We walked through the village and greeted our neighbors. Walked to the clear river and took in the beauty of the area. Then walked back to dance and laugh and hug our people. The naming ritual was spiritual and authentic to the Region. The names chosen by the elders fit each of us PERFECTLY!!! The blessings received were given in abundance and I am forever grateful for this experience.
