Vivez une journée remplie d'excitation, de culture et de connexion en explorant la vallée géothermique de Te Whakarewarewa. Rencontrez notre trésor national, le kiwi, et plongez dans la culture maorie. Découvrez des geysers impressionnants, de la boue bouillonnante et un luxuriant bush indigène lors de notre expérience guidée Te Rā. Approchez-vous de Pōhutu Geyser, le plus grand geyser actif de l'hémisphère Sud. Visitez le kiwi dans un enclos nocturne spécialement aménagé au Centre de conservation des kiwis, dédié à la préservation de cet oiseau emblématique. Plongez dans l'héritage maori à l'Institut des arts et métiers maoris de Nouvelle-Zélande, où les élèves perfectionnent leurs compétences traditionnelles en tissage, sculpture sur bois, pierre et os. Notre wānanga (école) sert de phare à la culture indigène. Nos kaiārahi (guides) bien informés partageront avec vous leurs traditions et leur héritage maori, vous transmettant des histoires et des idées ancestrales en cours de route. L'expérience guidée Te Rā a une durée de 90 minutes.

Te Puia est situé dans la vallée géothermique de Te Whakarewarewa, Rotorua et est un puissant rappel de la force naturelle de la terre. Amazing guide and experience! I would recommend to anyone. The space was educational about Māori culture and its people.

Excellent overall experience- make sure and see the Māori cultural performance. Entire morning was enjoyed by mom and dad as well as our 5 and 8 year olds.
The guided Te Puia trip was set up well and was a fun experience to learn about Maori culture. The staff at the facility were kind and supportive. I especially remember the walk about the natural volcanic spring, seeing how big the dodo was, and observing the different Maori artifacts in their exhibit.
I have visited Te Puia several times. This was the second time I was chosen as the peaceful leader in the welcoming ceremony. I volunteered the first time and this year I was selected by the guide.

Fabulous experience, we did the last tour of the day. Not as busy. Guide was great!
We did this tour late morning. Guide was informative and passionate. Start at visitor center as we headed out she pointed out the geysers were going but would be done before we got there. We saw kiwis in their habitat, and then a giant mud pool. We got over to the geyser area and got lots of info. Then on a tram to the craft school, which was great You can walk back down on your own after the tour for the geysers which were excellent
We had a fabulous experience with Kaia today! She was informative, friendly, professional, passionate and helpful in answering our questions! The visit to the arts centre was fantastic, seeing the indigenous artists at work. Thank u Kaia for making our visit to Te Puia so memorable!
