Totally unexpected and absolutely wonderful! Erwin, our tour guide, was punctual and picked us up right at our Airbnb. We spent an amazing day exploring the waterfall, then stopped at a panoramic Starbucks for coffee while enjoying breathtaking views of the volcano. From there, we headed out on a boat ride that allowed us to see the volcano up close. We also enjoyed a delicious lunch before making our final stop at the World War II cemetery. As a Navy veteran and an American, I was deeply honored and moved by the experience. This tour exceeded all expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and well-rounded adventure
Edwin made this a really great experience for us. The early pick-up to beat the Tagaytay traffic, the friendly conversation between destinations and genuine care he showed throughout for our comfort were truly appreciated. As for the tour itself, grabbing an early coffee and overlooking the Taal from a lovely vantage point was a nice way to start the day (seriously, skip Starbucks - just grab a 7Eleven coffee and go to the viewing point - better, cheaper, faster), followed by experiencing it via boat was excellent (you'll get splashed a few times). We then drove to newly accessible small waterfall and swimming area where we had a picnic lunch (so much food) supplemented by snacks that you can pick out on your journey there. The swimming area was fairly busy during our visit, and depending on where you are from, you may or may not feel entirely comfortable swimming, but it was a good insight into local community fun and I was perfectly content dozing in the cabana. I also really enjoyed the scenery while driving to this more remote place. The 5 stars though is because of Edwin. I think if you had a more stand-off driver/guide like I have experienced before, then I would be rating the experience slighlty lower.
UNRELIABLE, UNPROFESSIONAL. DON’T BOOK We were very excited for our volcano and boat drive on our last day in the Philippines. We did not hear from the travel company with confirmation and detailed pick-up the day before, as is the norm, so in the evening we started texting and then calling. We said please tell us if you are coming because we don’t want to get up at 4:30 a.m. for a 5:30 a.m. pick-up unless someone is coming. At 8:30 p.m. the driver confirmed, saying he might be early. We went early to the lobby at 5:20 a.m. At 5:52 a.m. the driver texted he was on his way. At 6:21 a.m. we texted that we had been waiting for an hour, was he coming. At 6:31 I called and he said he was having problems with his navigation and the vehicle, could we wait for him. Then at 6:40 we asked him to talk to his boss to see what was happening. He called and said the trip would be cancelled due to problems with the vehicle. We then received a text from some other person, saying the trip was canceled due to an auto accident (an obvious lie). Well, our day was wasted, and we lost the chance to ever see this area. Additionally, we were tired all day from getting up at 4:30 a.m. and waiting for nothing. This company was unprofessional to not confirm properly the day before; then they provided a string of excuses and lies. They should have just canceled the night before. Clearly, they either did not want to take us, and/or they did not have a functioning vehicle. Additionally, why did the driver have to do all this? I spoke with him 3 times on the phone as he made excuses and apologized. No manager or owner called, they stuck it all onto him.
Upon checking, we were unable to find a booking under your name. Nevertheless, thank you for your feedback. We continuously improve our services based on reviews of others experiences.
Really cool day trip experience from Manila, Edwin picked us up and got us food, and took us to an overlook area. We went on a boat tour around the volcano and it was amazing. Lunch with a view then we went to the American cemetery in Manila. Great experience overall
We went on the Taal Lake and Pasanjan Falls tour 13th January 2026 our driver and guide Edwin was fabulous went out of his way to make sure we were happy and he is very accommodating he was also a good driver and knew how to cut through Manila traffic and turned up the morning of the tour 30 minutes early and we arrived back at our Hotel on time. My wife and I would happily recommend this company and their services but Edwin is the driver to ask for as he must be the best driver they have there so ask for him to be your driver you won't be disappointed. Everything was great except for one point. It's unclear why the tour starts at 5:30 AM, when it could easily be moved to 6:30 or even 7:00. Because of such an early start, guests lose their paid hotel breakfast and are forced to grab something at McDonald's or Starbucks. By the time you return around lunchtime, you're already exhausted and sleep-deprived. So it’s not clear why the tour needs to start this early, when shifting it by an hour or so wouldn’t affect the program but would make it much more comfortable.
Hi, Thank you for your honest review. Manila rush hour is extremely heavy between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., as around 14 million people travel to work and school daily—about 5 million of them coming from outside Metro Manila. To avoid the worst traffic when picking up guests within Manila and heading out of the city, the optimal pickup time is 5:30 a.m. Best regards,
Early start to beat the traffic. Amazing scenery and guides worked well we got a good experience changing the order to allow for visibility. Larry was a great driver and I was impressed how he navigated the traffic coming back into Manila.
My family had a wonderful time. Pick up was on time and Carlo was an excellent driver. He anticipated our needs for appropriate rest stops and even bought us bananas and buko pie....they were delicious. We felt well taken cared of. The boat ride around Taal volacano and views of the lake were amazing. Our boat tour guide was great....she gave us informations that we otherwise would not have known since she used to live on the island. Overall, it was a wonderful experience worth the cost and traffic.
Flor, our guide, was awesome. He is friendly and very knowledgeable of the area. Taal Volcano was amazing. I highly recommend this experience to anyone.
The guide was really nice and it was a breathtaking experience. The way from the hotel was a bit long, but it was worth it. We arrived at the location of the volcano, first we saw it from above, and then we went on a boat trip that took about two hours. We took a tour and the boat driver explained everything to us. Highly recommended!
