Itinéraire
Départ en voiture ou en bus vers une ville proche pour commencer la randonnée
Départ matinal : Nous commençons l'aventure à 4h00 du matin, lorsque le lac est encore endormi et que le ciel commence à se transformer. Un trajet d'environ 45 minutes en bus ou en voiture nous amènera au point de départ de la randonnée. Nous commencerons la randonnée près d'un endroit sur Indian Nose. De là, nous ferons une randonnée de 30 à 45 minutes, en pleine nature, pour atteindre le sommet de l'Indian Nose. Au sommet, vous profiterez d'un ciel illuminé de nuances d'or et d'orange alors que le soleil se lève entre les volcans San Pedro, Tolimán et Atitlán. Vous aurez le temps de prendre des photos spectaculaires du lac et des villages environnants. Le tout dans un cadre paisible, loin du bruit de la ville, idéal pour se détendre et profiter d'une expérience authentique d'Atitlán.

A very early morning but worth it. Our hotel is outside of the city, so we had to pay extra for pickup and drop off which was fine. The van was over capacity with other groups which made the ride a bit uncomfortable. Our guide was Chema; he checked on us throughout the hike and got us good seats for the sunrise. He also took our photos. Overall, it was a nice experience.
Chema is an excellent guide! I felt very safe and knowledgeable throughout the experience. It was worth having such a guide to go up and know the Mayan face. Thank you very much for the great experience!

The Sunrise Tour in Indian Nose was one of the highlights of my time in Lake Atitlan. The pickup was smooth and well-organized, and the guide communicated clearly the day before to confirm everything. After about a 45-minute ride, we began the hike. It’s moderately challenging but manageable if you have decent fitness. The reward at the top is unforgettable. Chema was my wonderful guide, he was friendly and patient, giving me plenty of time to enjoy the view and take pictures. The small group size made it feel personal and safe. If you’re visiting Lago Atitlan area, I really recommend doing this. It’s simple, beautiful, and one of those experiences you’ll remember long after your trip.

We are fit, experienced hikers, this was a very easy hike. Keep in mind that you are already at elevation, increasing elevation, so if you're accustomed to being closer to sea level, you should go slow and have frequent breaks. Chema will make sure you are breaking as much as you need. It is quite cold at the top, so to be comfortable, be sure to pack a warm hat and jacket, as you'll be sitting for a while watching the glory of a sunrise. You'll be offered hot cocoa or coffee and a roll. We were happy to pay for this excursion, as opposed to the many many other offers in San Pedro because it was just Chema, and the two of us. No others to wait for or keep up with.
This was an amazing experience! Chema (José) was a wonderful guide…kind, knowledgeable, patient, and a great photographer! Be aware that it is not a super easy hike…there are many stairs and it is high, but it is worth it!
We loved hiking with Chema to watch the sunrise from the Indian Nose. Chema accompanied us by adapting to our rhythm. The climb is quite difficult but it is definitely worth it because the show on top of the mountain is breathtaking. Watching the sunrise over the lake and discovering the villages from this perspective is an unforgettable experience. We came down quietly. Chema was very available and attentive. We highly recommend it.
